I remembered your thread over your plan to surf Katrina before Katrina comes but you gave up because ADers and family told you not do that. How do you feel when you saw how diaster is after Katrina hitted?

Can you image that you CAN surf Katrina like this when you saw how diaster Katrina did in New Orleans if you ignore ADer and your family's warning? Can you do that?

i believe it is a real pic. ive seen video of TWO great white sharks in one wave trying to get a surfer while he was surfing the wave. so i believe the picture is real.

when i saw the disaster that katrina left, i felt like my heart had been ripped out of my chest. i also felt, and still feel, very guilty. i feel guilty because i wanted to take pleasure out of someone else's pain. i wanted to have fun on something that was going to kill people, and leave the rest homeless.


i dont think i would have survived katrina, to be honest. i more than likely would have died. because everything was gone. EVERYTHING. my truck would have been gone the place where i was staying would have been gone. i would have been gone.


my dream would be to surf with my dad.

no i dont have deaf relatives. my aunt is an ASL teacher in a high school. she taught me how to sign a long time ago.


lol sometimes i forget that my deaf friends are deaf. its not something that i pay attention to. especially when i talk to some ADers.
i remember i posted a joke in AD i think it was a hearing joke. and one person said...we're deaf. and i was like...oh yeah, i forgot. Deafness isn't something i define people with.
i have met some very ignorant deaf people. but id have to say, there are a lot more sweet, kind deaf people than there are ignorant deaf people.

i went to sleep, i was tired.

i was going to take a nap around 2 in the afternoon but i had to stay awake for the job to call me. but they never did

then i got into a fight with my girlfriend because i wanted to apply for this one place, but she didn't feel it was safe for me to work there. and so we fought about that. and then i talked to some ADers and then went to bed.
