We have shared so much together such as members who have suffered losses in their family, birthdays, sicknesses, vacations or just to say a kind word, we just had an engagement. All these events that we all have been invited to share in involved praise, happiness, support, hugs, tears, joy, sorrow. We all did this together on AD. Don't let insecurities, low self esteem, bashing, insulting, get to us, this is the time we all need to stick together because that is what this forum is ALL about. It's about us being ALL FRIENDS, ALL FAMILY, ALL CARING, ALL LOVING AND ALL SUPPORTING.
Don't let anymore negativity hurt AllDeaf. We who are good friends that want to stick together on this forum, I give each of you a big

To the people who are thinking of leaving, I hope that you will think twice and stay, ignore the insults, turn a deaf ear to the bashing, but most of all, if it wasn't for all the good people who are on this forum,THERE WOULD BE NO ALLDEAF!!!!! We have already lost one good person temporarily, please let us not lose anymore. My heart and love go out to all of you tonight!!!! God Bless!!!

Yes, you have been hurt, but, you wouldn't be human now would you if you didn't have these kind of feelings. That is what makes all of us the good people that we are because we think and feel from our hearts.

Besides, you have a wedding to plan now, this is a happy time for you and Roadrunner. This is a celebration we all on AD can share. This is what AD is all about, sharing.

:nono: AJ don't you dare feel like you failed anyone. Feeling helpless? I should say not. You were there to support this person, you put all other feelings aside, and you came forward for this person. You are that one ingredient that makes AD what it is today. Caring, AJ, caring!!!! You cared enough to stick your neck out for this person, and I know deep down, this person really cares for what you have done.
So, don't you dare even think for one second you failed anyone, because you didn't, if anything you gave this person back their self esteem.
It's people like you AJ that keep all of us together on AllDeaf.
Don't you ever feel anything below a person who has a heart of gold. That is what you possess my friend. You did what any true friend would do, you stuck by a friend. Who could ask for anything more?

These people are 'Culture of Schadenfreude' folks (not you or these unfortunates that you mentioned in your post... I'm talking about 'other' ones).
 
Ya know, this whole thing is a crock. Some people just love getting attention. If they really don’t like the name-calling, blah blah blah, there is this wonderful little contraption here on AD called an “IGNORE FEATURE”, I highly recommend they try it. Such a novel idea, really. Some people just prefer a little cheese with their whine.

However, I think part of the problem here is that some people can dish it out, but can’t take it. They tend to forget that respect is a 2-way street. Nobody seems to care whether they hurt my feelings or not because I don’t tolerate the crap in the first place. I am assertive enough to express my objections when someone offends me, therefore I am labeled as bashing, insulting, rude, or name-calling. Well, I must say, most of my responses are reactions. In other words, if I weren’t offended, I wouldn’t be offending. This is simply my nature, not to be taken personally unless you have personally pissed me off, in which case I will certainly let you know.

I also like BBNT’s suggestion of taking a break.

The reaction from everyone to the news I was taking a break was astounding. Again, thank you to everyone who took the time to let me know they care. And it is because of you all, I know I am fully welcomed here, and I will not be leaving for good. I am still on hiatus though. And contrary to popular belief, I'm not breaking primarily because of a pathetic little troll. :fu: I've had quite a lot of things going on at home, work, and school that have had me distracted and have been on my mind. Like I told AJ, I'll be back in full effect before you can do the hookie doo. :wiggle:

When this person told me they might be leaving, I about flipped out at them. Through long discussion, harassment, consoling, and 4 glasses of Diet K Soda. They're not going anywhere. And if they attempt to leave my reaction will be much to that of AJ's when I first considered leaving. No one is leaving here any more without a fight. ^Angel^:hug:, you said it best. When you're dealing with assholes ( :madfawk: ), you're going to have to grow a thicker skin. I see people bitching about the moderators doing their jobs. Get over it. There is nothing wrong with the moderator. The problem is with you. You know, I rarely used the report post button, because I was always one to fight back and not be one to sit there and take insults. I've now got a growing ignore list, and I'm not afraid at all to report a post that I feel crosses the line, to let a moderator do their job. To those people who actually think they're innocent and don't insult unless insulted. :bsflag: We've seen it again and again on this forum and others.
