I just wonders about USA that some cities are homophobia and haven't found out. I think that most bible belt (like in Southeast) are homophobia. You can including with other countries too like Canada.

Stop Homophobia...

I don't know that homophobia is something that can be measured objectively. I think the best way to get a sense of where the problem is the worst is to look at the frequency of GLBTI motivated hate crime.

Thanks. Where are u from?

I live in Southern California in one of the most conservative counties in the U.S. - Orange County. I have always found there to be a significant issue with Homobhobia and Racism here - many documented hate crimes.

Yea, I live in Van Nuys, that district is part of LA city limit in San Fernando Valley. That's known as porn capital. I don't have any problem with this area and its very liberal. There's many gay/lebsian students at my school and some gay/lebsian adults in our area as well.

Austin's definitely not homophobic but we sure have a bunch of rednecks/fundies screaming and praising here trying to demonize homosexuality. Austin's the most liberal Texan city - they voted for John Kerry, the majority is Democratic, they voted against anti-gay amendment, they voted for partnership benefits for City Hall, and it goes on.

Homophobia exist everywhere in this world. It would be really dumb to say that such doesn't exist in places like Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Atlanta, Miami-Dade, Boston, etc, etc.
