What is Your IQ score ?

Mine is 139. But I do not believe that iq tests are usually accurate. Each time I take the test, the score is usually different.

No, I think we are getting too old for this kind of test. Face it we are losing our memorizes or should I Say brain cells heh! Come on Aboard Mizzdeaf. To old age group. Hey I'm in it too.. don't feel bad *laughing hard*
 
now, I finally take test... my score is 140

I took that test a few months ago with an evil hangover and scored 133. I was also told that I am a "word warrior". There are two tests of intelligence that are considered valid by the American Psychological Association: the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS), and the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale. Both tests are designed such that the mean score is 100 with a standard deviation of approximately 15. (16 for the Stanford-Binet, 15 for the WAIS). Genius is defined as having an IQ which is at or above 2 standard deviations from the mean. So a score of 132 on the Stanford-Binet or 130 on the Wechsler would place you in the genius range, and at or above the 98th percentile of the general population. So my score places me in the extreme low end of the genius range. Vampy’s score of 140 and butterflygal’s score of 139 place them solidly in the genius range and very near the top 1% of the population. Cheri’s score of 129 places her very close to the cutoff point of the genius range. Even MizzDeaf’s score of 104 places her above average—she’s smarter than 50% of the general population. Illustrator’s score of 182 places him at 5½ standard deviations from the mean. A score this high is generally considered to be outside the testable range, and there are probably less than 100 people in the world with an IQ this high. So I knew he was full of shit right off the bat. DeafSCUBA’s score of 35 puts him the range considered by clinicians to be severely mentally retarded. Either he wasn’t paying too much attention or Wal-Mart really will hire anybody. :D Sablescort’s score of zero indicates that he’s either dead or he didn’t take the test.

Bear in mind, however, that the Emode test is not an accepted measure of intelligence by any academic body. To actually get your IQ tested, you have to go to a licensed clinical psychologist and have him administer a recognized test of intelligence.

Well I gotta say I did put the zero because I agree with your assessement about the validity and accuracy of online IQ tests and ones given by psychologists. Even a trained chimpanzee can pass any given IQ test including the 2 academically recognized tests. Plus the level of intelligence according to tests are always debated endlessly and it seems harder to peg down a specific level in order to classify higher intelligence.

So there ya go to the reason why I dont put stock on how my IQ is 'cause YMMV on intelligence levels.
