What is your area code? game

I watched CNN news last march or so. Currently, everyone have 10 digests phone number right. CNN said something so interested to me. Few years (forgot what year, opps!) from now, they will might have 12 digests. Dang! CNN not even give me more details how it work with 12 digests.
For example, XXX-XXX-XXXX-XX or XX-XXX-XXX-XXXX I wonder about that. Grr for CNN for very limit detail. Wonder if u recognize same news like my explaining here.
 
Some of you may already know what my area code number is, because this state only has one! :roll:

soon, in short year, they will have two area code in this state. If they offer more wireless phone. :D

That's odd, because I haven't seen anything in the news talking about that in my state. :dunno: Perhaps, my state will be the "last" one on announcing this. :roll:

Why not made a code for each state, like 01 for Washington DC, 02 for Delaware, 03 for PA, 04 for NJ, etc... all the way to 51 for Hawaii. then each city should have its own code. then house should have only 3 or 4 numbers depending on combination

For example, where I lived in Germany, 6151 was the city code. My number was 16-4008. If someone who was within 6151 calling area, all they had to dial was 16-4008, not 0 6151 16 4008. I knew some ppl in Germany who only had 3 numbers, so it was weird dialing just three numbers to their house. But this system would prolly never be accepted in the USA.

Kewl sound so interested! hope USA do start new system like Germany way. If not, might be more confuse somehow. See what happen within few years from now.

Remember the area code I believe would start up in another country, not usa. History from other countries moved to this USA country. Just think again. :D
