I would say BOTH...
"Getting away from my home and work life and relax"
"Visiting other countries and learn their cultures"
Before we start family, we used to travel alot and love to collect their different cultures, histories and also foods, too.
After we started family, "family stress". We need to get away for the weekends break to have a good relax.... Amusement Park in Europe, Europe, beach, relax etc. Now my son is oldest and want to go Rome and Toscona to learn about their cultures because he's interesting to know about their cultures. I really don't mind to support my children's curious/interesting because we are also interesting to collect different cultures, too.
