It pretty much depends on who says it, and how they say it.I agree with u. What I meant was how that term, "redneck" is used. From what I see on TV or read (I can't hear it being used), it is used negatively as to poke fun of people living that certain lifestyle? I don't recall it it being used to describe people positively. Like people insult Mexicans by calling them "wetbacks" when we know that there r good Mexican people out there. Know what I mean? If I am wrong about that label being used negatively in the public, let me know. Thanks
When Jeff Foxworthy says it, it's funny and rednecks enjoy it.
When a Northerner says it and looks down the nose while saying it, that's an insult.
When a redneck says it, it's either a challenge or a boast. :P
