What is it like being deaf?

I would like to get a full understanding of what it is like to be deaf and living with hearing loss and carry out some interviews with people that would be happy enough to share their experience and answer a few questions of mine to help me get a full understanding of this lifestyle. Anyone that can help would be great and would be a good help with my project I am doing for Action of hearing loss.

Being deaf is like having cotton with headphones and earmuffs in the ears 24/7 I've been deaf since i was 2 years old. I was born with a cleft lip and a cleft palate. It caused ear infections which resulted in my deafness.
