What good thing happened to you today?

Also setting up a non-profit organization for NYC area for women going through DV like I did. I'd open my home and arms if I had the room for it to all the women I knew who were being treated like I was. I want to get enough funding to get a house so I can have a home for all the women who need it. My studio isn't enough. Maybe for one person, but I'd still open my arms if needed. Can sleep in my bed if needed, can live off my income if needed. Their lives matter more to me than my own.

That's great thing you've started. I wish you all the best on this project. Is it for deaf women or both?

No offence. But to be honest, I still do not understand the cultural affinity to Ireland that you sometimes hear in the English-speaking world. And the same thing applies to the French. They have some cultural affinities that I really do not understand and that are different from anything else that I know.

I am quite like Spock in Star Trek. I try to use logic to guide myself around in this world.

You might want to practice the 'raise one eyebrow' while not smiling bit. You may also want to claim to be over 100 years old.

Age is only a number. Youthfulness is found in the heart.

No offense taken, HH! I freely admit no logic is used in my adoration for GB. (Don't have same fascination with Frenchies, I'm afraid).

After hearing this morning about the possibility that one of the trains I will be on this weekend might be cancelled, I found out later that at most it might be detoured. None of the info I have is "official".

Sounds familiar. I remember reading something in Mad Magazine as a teenager.

I tried learning the Vulcan salute before but I only managed halfway.

A friend from the elementary school days found me today on facebook. She already talked about next yr reunion. YIKES!! Never been to a stinkin' reunion. :dunno:

"There is no half way... There is do or don't do."

Oh wait, that's from Star Wars I think. Probably Yoda. Or I may be mixing my quotes... Excuse me while I get my brain cells re-organized...

I got the beautiful pendant from mbrek today!

Funny how after horrible 'VENT' day the sun always seem to shine next day. :)

Today was great day and suppose get better since boyfriend and I *finally* reach, how say, impasse? Realize silly to try communicate when neither side understand the other.

Work was *SO* productive today which also make me so happy. LOVE days like that at office.

Tomorrow local election and managers getting together for 'drink fest?' tomorrow night. Already book hotel out that way because will not drive back home if drinking. Can easily stumble back to hotel room since pub walking distance. [smart] :giggle:

For those who do not understand there is very real reason to believe that 'half' our new board will be filled by, how say, idjits who will try to undo *EVERYTHING* we have accomplish, as a group, over last 2 years. Drive me insane to think how it will all change for worse.

BUT, will not think of now. :)

Particularly deaf, but hearings are welcome. There's no such organization for deaf women around here so hence the reason I'm starting it up.

OK, here's a list of the good things that happened to me today:
1. My pastor's wife texted me wishing me a fantastic day this morning.
2. I got two wedding photography jobs.
3. I got an entire stack of books to read this afternoon from my pastor. (Yes I am a bookworm, I can easily burn through a book in a day)
4. My DD received a $50 award for being the second top seller of cookie dough for her ENTIRE school.
5. I got invited to a a Tom Mccorty (sp?) concert. I didn't know if I was going to be able to get babysitting arrangements for my DD so I didn't say yay or nay, but once I get it worked out I can text my pastor's wife and go from there. Now imagine me running around with a bunch of old church ladies. LOL. If nothing else we can pile up in my pastor's truck (it's huge) and just go at it.

I haven't asked my parents yet because I don't know what their plans are for the weekend. I will ask mom in the morning as I am sure my dad will be in the deer stand despite having already bagged a buck last week.

I would say I had an awesome supertastic day peppered with blessings. :D

Well...I'm off work due to a hip injury and maybe my appendix is inflammed? I don't know for sure if it's the cause of my weight loss and eating issues. Doctor wanted me to go to ER if I was still having severe lower right abdominal pain yesterday evening but I'm doing ok now. I think it's just the hip injury...
I picked up my meds yesterday lortab mainly and have been in bed for most of today and will be for most of sunday. Although I'm not supposed to go back to work until tuesday I'll be trekking in on monday morning. We'll see how the hip does. I've already warned everyone I'll be goofy on monday and tuesday....

I'll update then :)

It'll go something like this: today I tripped at work, dropped this and ran into this person and made an ass out of myself. :D

((edit))
Posted under wrong thread. This was supposed to go under what happened today.

Not so much to me, but I do like seeing the smile on my honey's face. It is SNOWING for the first time this season, and he looks like a 3 year old, all giddy.

I took a nap when I got home from work.

Abut the only good things I can say, I was able to get vertical and walk with assistance and my car started when I needed it.
