my brother bought ASUS laptop and my friend has ASUS Notebook
and me bought ASUS desktop while my brother was drunk break my HP laptop.
I would not get a DELL ! They do not stand behind their product! At least not with me!

if you talking about Laptops, id say HP or Sager even Alienware,
but for desktops its best to have a DIY, but with best parts like
EVGAPC Mobos, EVGA Gfx cards (SLI , Nivida forget ATi) , Crucial or Corsair or GSkill Rams, PC&PowerCooling PSUs, i7 cpus of the best kind (dunno what steppings etc) im not into pc building anymore havent done so for 5 years now

When it comes to pc's, I go with custom built desktops if you can afford it. That way, you can pick the best of breed components, and you've got a much wider upgrade path, than with laptops.
If I had to pick only a brand name built one, ASUS would be my choice, I've used their motherboards (both for my personal and company use) more often than any other manufacturer while building up custom systems.
