This is what I agree this. The hearing people especially hearing authorities like hearing teachers in both elementary and high school would never want to listen to our needs. They refused to help us (in Special Education class where we were not allowed to have ASL). It was a struggle.
So if the hearing population suddenly become deaf for a reason like the bomb or getting diseased that cause hearing loss.
No, I would not want to help them like Shel90 said. They would have to learn how to do that themselves unless they asked politely, not rude or force us to do what they want from us. If they whined and groaned, then that is not going to help them adapt to their hearing loss or deafness. Yes, I would walk away from them. I had put suffering trying to make head and tail with the hearing society. They expected us to be like them every single day. Ha! What a crock!
