You'll never know

I have four so will keep one .. need rid of three :hmm:

0.o

why u have 4 of them? what a waste of engery to make them (harm environment)

but good thing u dont throw them in garbage..

well give to deaf friend or so..

Why not donate them to 3rd world countries where deaf people dont have access to information like we do here?

I think it is bad idea.. their countries dont support interpeter (answering the phone call between hearing and deaf? I dont think they would accept ppl's calls from other world but only in usa.. they need their own TTY and interpeter service in their country.. u know i mean? they cant speak english. LOL

or i could be wrong..

Or donate to the independent living centers in your area, they are always working with deaf community and they may know someone with low-income or has no ways of having communication, they are good with helping others in providing used TTYs. don't throw them away.

They can call other deaf people in their countries using their language. Doesnt have to be English. However, u are right about the relay services..I didnt think of that. It was just an idea..

Set up a yard - sale, and sell it for $50. Not many hearing people know what it is, tell them it is good way for you to practice typing, and one day you will type about 100 word per minute.

Nah, take it outside, place some explosions and blow 'em up to million pieces and you'll be happy! :)

Phillip, You better keep tty to call 911 emergency. Some VRS provider have 911 service but include no PSAP. I will wait to listen from FCC next month that approve to require e911 (PSAP) for all VRS provider. E911 means that telecommunications based system that automatically associates a physical address with the calling party's telephone number, and routes the call to the most appropriate Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for that address. The caller’s address and information is displayed to the PSAP calltaker immediately upon call arrival. This provides emergency responders with the location of the emergency without the person calling for help having to provide it.

D, Phillips said that he/she have 4 TTY's and want to get rid of 3 TTY's - also, an alternative idea, sell 'em on EBAY!

Keep it.

NEVER NEVER NEVER give it away, when you need 911. Someday, you will thank to me.

Are you blind? Did you just read what I just said!?

Right. Phillip keeps one of four ttys. May donate three of them to poor deaf people. Amost deafies never use ttys because reason of having lots of VPs. TTYs are dirt and web. :laugh2:
