Really? I prefer to mix my own as it tastes better that way. I'm surprised more people don't do it this way. I prefer coke-rum drinks to bourbon-coke drinks.

yes really, go to the specialist whisky shop and ask them,, you'd find they drink it straight or with a drop or two of water. Mixers tend to be the cheap stuff, if anything 'better' for mixing might be a kind of niche market's type, slightly better made 'better' or ideal for mixing since it might be a bit thicker with bolder flavour but it still aren't the real thing

it takes a while to get used to tasting straight, once you learned, its easy to see why, kind of an acquired taste but its not like 'get used to the rough' , really good stuff are not rough or bitter at all...its just needs to be discovered, oh when its straight we dont skull, we sip savouring the taste...ask "The Write Alex" ,,

try a 18 year old Bowmore whisky (plain) and ask for it straight with an accompanying glass of water next to it, sip the dram very tiny bit at a time, you'd see it tastes like toffee, smokey, chocolate, tint of lime (very very weak), barley sugar and whatever you find yourself, oh and its extra ordinarily smooth , other drinks dont have that tongue massaging magic...

Mm. I will have to try it out. I wonder if the local liquor shop carries this brand. I've never been one for gulping down booze as this will trigger my reflux.

I prefer to drink wine, with my dinner... only when I am relaxing.

I learned Minnesota allows squirrel hunting !! :(

If you see anyone with a terrier-type dog, they probably use them for treeing squirrels.

try Bushmill's Blackbush very well known and easy to find, again take it real slow. Its a lovely whiskey from Ireland.

I learned that I have tried to PM one poster about planning to meet us somewhere in Boston but he has been blocked me without any explanation. Also, I PM'ed another poster to ask her if she wants to meet us half way somewhere in Massachusetts but she doesn't reply me. I am wondering - what have I done to them? I know that I didn't do anything wrong. I also am wondering if I am not nice person as you all think I am. I am sad right now.

I can't imagine anyone thinking anything negative about you.

Maybe his PM box is full, or he has it set for only people one his friends list. As for the other one, maybe not here at the moment?

Don't worry too much, I know very well what a nice person you are. I think there will be a reasonable explanation. :)

I learned that I'm out of diet mountain dew :( That stuff is like crack to me, so I will have to make a store run later today after I do some homework.

I learned early this morning that we are out of wood pellets for our wood stove, so I will have to go to the store too.

Some people are just mean.

What kind of store sells something like this
Like Lowe's, Home Depot, hardware, but maybe only in the north.

pretty much any store.

Well, hopefully not hay/feed stores. Wouldn't want anyone mistaking alfalfa pellets for wood pellets, Have you ever seen alfalfa pellets? They look just like wood pellets except they are green....
