Thanks, PatsCats. I was thinking of visiting her but I need myself better first. I am still sick, with bad cough. I don't want her to get sick from me. Sigh..
 
I learned that there is a lot of chicken shit on graded eggs. I had to stop the gatherer several times to wipe chicken shit off the table. ICK!

That happens a lot in small community colleges. If there isn't enough enrollment then the school would not be able to justify paying the instructor if there isn't enough enrollment to cover x-percentage of having the course.

Ya but this school usually fills up for ASL but the head of the program decided this specific class wouldn't go towards IPP and everyone who takes it would have to take the same exact class twice... so everyone dropped it

Lame on part of the program head. I would have allowed it to go towards the ITP as long as the student received an 80% or better in the course.

Ya that was supposed to be how it works but she decided IPP doesn't really start till fall so its out... I was really looking forward to that class to be honest... I need my social life back lol
 
Just got the mailing for all the classes offered in Adult Ed or night classes for this school district and season, but then we get another mailing that all ASL classes are cancelled. No reason offered.

This is a very crappy school district. This will be the 4th tern of night classes that have been cancelled. No reason was given, but I can only assume that there's just no interest. I had also checked with my local Deaf Service Center and they had cancelled their classes as well, but that was due to no one signing up. People needed a different night offered and the instructor was not available that night. They will try again once they find a different instructor if they can.

Many times you might get private lessons at your local deaf center.

I learned there's a new direct route straight from Sydney to Dallas/Fort Worth. Hmm, I could fly there and then take another flight down to Austin and visit dear deafbajagal.... Food for thoughts....hmmmm
 
I learned that a teenage boy is going to get his *** whopped tonight by 2 teenage girls for breaking off with my daughter by texting her friend (who happens to live with us) telling the friend of his plans. The natives are restless waiting for him to show up at our house.

Wasn't too pleased to see the word my daughter used on FB this morning when she'd learned of the text message. She even apologized to me in the same FB post for using it.
