Yeah... I couldn't believe how rude people were when I left my family too.

Outside of saying you are an exception, I don't have any real answers. I'm older and grew up on a farm in a small community in southern Minnesota and it was a great life! Made me a sort of an Emersonian wannabe.

I think people just don't care enough to be polite. sad.
