Nobody wasn't killed, so far was just minor injuries.

I'm glad to hear that.

I'm learning that this cold rainy weather is not motivating me at all today.

We are way over the annual average this year and it is the first time in 10 years that we have been receiving very decent rain and this is our normal cycle.
Which means our drought has been broken since 21st October 2010.

I learned that I really, really hate to decorate the yard for Christmas. Four days of decorating and MIL is still not done. I have been stuck so many times from the thorns in the hedges putting up lights, son has been all over the roof of the house and carport, hubby and daughter have been all over the front yard of both properties (house on one and the 3 bay garage on the other). I have also had to do the inside of the house, so three 8-foot tables are set up with my Christmas villages, and the 7 foot tree is up. Now we get to do more decorating in the yard and in the house. MIL is waiting for a train to get delivered. She has some kind of Santa train that she ordered and paid $450 coming soon.

It has been raining for three straight days now :|

Ooh, I know how those go, when that happens our hayfield usually floods up and takes about a week and a half to drain, and likely a month or more to dry out enough that you can drive a tractor out there without getting it buried up to its axles in mud.

It has been so hot here. I wish we could have a cool down. As far as rain. It seems the sky can't figure it out. We have had 3 days of constant sprinkles or drizzle. No rain, but also no sun, but it's still in the upper 80's.

Here it is the beginning of winter. About 6 months long for Iowa.

Its about 4 to 5 and a half months for Arkansas. BTW what parts of Iowa are you in? I was around Davenport, Wappelo, and Muscatine which is 10 mins from the Illionois border.

Des Moines, which is the capital and sort of south central Iowa.

I never made it that far, but maybe if I get a good paying job in the next few years I should plan a road trip that shoots through there. ;)

I will buy you a Starbucks coffee if you pass through.
