Maybe not, but kids these days rack up the phone bill chatting with their boyfriend/girlfriend all night or constantly texting, and it adds up quickly if you're not prepared with information about free apps to save money (and stress).

unlimited txt plan... it's cheap

You can't send a love letter via text as that would be 1) maybe 50 text messages consisting of 255 characters each and 2) not romantic!

not if you have iPhone. can do more than 255 characters lol

What if the loved one doesn't have an unlimited text plan?? :hmm:
data plan then. or wifi.

I can't pinpoint the iPhone as the device used to send the text as 255 characters tend to be the standard.
if it's iPhone to iPhone... it doesn't count as text. if it's Verizon to Verizon (same for other service), it doesn't count toward your text plan.

but either way... kids these days are on family plan and wifi is everywhere. I think they're hardly concerned about limit.

No, but free text messaging apps like Text Now and Text Me I can.

Guys, you are missing the whole point. It is romantic to send handwritten letters. Handwritten letters reveal more of your personality as opposed to text messages. They also are emotionally very heavy and bearing. Handwritten yet also can have letters that are fun and unique.

I could go on and on about this for I am a hopeless romantic. :giggle:

I don't think a girl would find it romantic if your handwriting is terrible and almost illegible

I usually cind letters more cheesy than romatic but other people could disagree with me

It is the thought that counts, you know. Plus Mark can just take his time and write out the letter slowly to make sure each letter and word is legible.

I have been using Tango(android) a free app, to call, text, and send pictures to Philippines. Works good. It infiltrated my contacts and I had to uninstall it and go through them to add and subtract contacts then reinstall. Simple enough but it was frustrating for a little while. For the two of us sending and talking back and forth often, it is a real money saver.

I hVe tried many ways and today my best friend came over to help, juat couldnt. It was recommended i meditate. Ill give it another try if it doesnt work oh well. And maybe you juat need practice mark? Cuz some of my frienda are lefties and they can write cursive

I learned transcendental meditation back when. Maharishi Mahesh Yogi passed away not long ago. That was his teaching. It was really popular at one time. It is not the only technique. I was extremely active then so it was tough to sit and calm down. At first it was like torture but after a while it got easier.

It kind of matched my belief in that most good things take some self sacrifice, misery, pain, and extreme effort if they really are worth doing. I say most not all.. smiles here.

Now the opposite is needed, less calm, more action.

Tango is a nice app, but I have only used it once I think. I generally prefer to use Skype or FaceTime.

Today, I learned Naruto (I am referring to the manga) finally revives!

You know that lefties and cursive don't go too well together?

Not true... it's how you write. Both of them have better handwriting than I do! lol

Both of my parents are lefties. My father says he used to shake his head at how some lefties write, curving their hands/wrist around. He said...why not just TURN the paper from facing diagonally left to diagonally right... then you can write with arm close to side and less strain on the wrist.

Need to pay attention to how Momma and nephew (he's also a lefty) write. All 3 of them also have learned to use the mouse with their right hand since most of us ARE righties. I try to use the mouse on the left (working on it) when I use Dad's computer- but that's not often anymore since I have my own set up.

all my family lefties and they clever arthmatic they do before I finished asking it...my spelling and writing atrosious but good physical reasons apart from lazy.
my son /husband have average writing aslong as it readable that all that matters..i was told do gap with at least four or five stops between sentense not sure if it works but I can see words bit better

I am close to ambidextrous doing things like putting on part of my makeup with my right hand and part with my left.

For years I ran a ten-key adding machine or calculator with my left hand so that I could keep a pen or pencil on my right hand to write down results. I have always used my right hand to write but never got really fast.

For the mouse I found that I was accidentally putting too much pressure on the right button and thus clicking on something I didn't want. My solution was to setup my mouse like a left handed person. I hold it with all fingers off to the right with none on the left button. The pointer finger is handy to use the scroll wheel that is in the middle of mine.

Interesting!

I think Dad has done that before - swap the buttons or at least I did when he still used the Windows machine. Can't with the mac since the mouse is a one button dealie lol.

I learned today that I have stage 2 Parkinson's.

Sorry to hear that!!! I'm speechless...

I know someone in the family that has it but I didn't hear of a 'stage'. Just that he has it.
