Umm..over there in chicago? There isnt one here. But i dont think so. Ill just be there a few days. But i have never liked planes, well not the plane itself but im scread of heights.
There are trains from LA to Chicago. The most direct one takes 2 days, I think. I'm hoping to take it from Chicago to LA the another train from LA to San Francisco. I don't know if there are any Amtrak California trains where you are that could get you to LA.
Wow, was just considered along with 2 others to travel to Houston TX to audit a client. Not that different from Tampa weather wise I guess, but this is the land where everything is HUGE! I think I'm in for an interesting experience! :P
I suck at precalc! that was what I learned today.
I once lived in Houston and I did not like life there. Houston is a metropolis which equates to heavy traffic and it can get really humid in the summer.
I've encountered SF traffic, then Chicago traffic as well as Houston... it's pretty much all over the metro areas in the country. More people are driving on the roads. Chicago is just as bad, which is why I go through there late at night when the traffic gets light which is perfect timing for me. Been on cross country trips many times.
And if I must ride the Metra to downtown to buy Amtrak tickets at Chicago Union Station, the best time to do that is by hopping on the 5:54 AM Metra, and arriving at CUS by 6:45 AM (It's a 15-minute walk south of Ogilvie Transportation Center), and be back home before 8 AM. Not bad, hmm?
The I-80-94 interchange is a huge headache during the day.
