What did you learn today?

This morning I learned that five Stop signs in my subdivision have been run over and flattened. :(

Police are investigating.
 
I learned that you're ok, Reba - that's happy news:wave:

but I'm sorry to read about all the storm-related destruction:(

Could they be from separate incidents where people were having trouble stopping because of wet brakes?

Not painful although do have pain but that bit not so bad big lumps in palm of hand and curling fingers down it ligaments being pulled down cause me problems in crook of arm it suck in bent Angel that gets me down BSL is difficult so is writing..I often don't rectify spelling English (have you notice)when post it difficult.
I was amazed be told I was direct descendent of Viking as they only people carry the gene

Doubtful. They are in a quarter-mile section of a slightly curved residential road in a 25-mph neighborhood. The tracks lead up from the road to grass and signs, and then back down to the road again. It looks like they were aimed at. Also, five different signs in one area during the same time period?

More like teenage drunken joy ride in stolen car. (Who would want to inflict that damage on their own car?)

caz and Reba, appreciate the info. on the DD, now I learned about that too!
 
Went to funeral today my husband gave eulogy for me we stood pulpit together.i learned the dead person had PhD and had over thousand books in his house loved malt whisky and got plastered with my other neighbour once a week the other neighbour 106...It taken a month from dying to funeral because no grave diggers.A lovely service as far as funerals go catholic one but done in such away you not known...I thought I knew my neighbour well but unaware he had PhD and so did the 106yr old

Thanks. That detail was not in your earlier post so kinda "grabbing at straws" for explanation of what happened.
 
I went to pay my taxes at the city hall today and the fire department and mayor are having a 'Hear the BEEP where you SLEEP' program going for people to have smoke alarms in all their bedrooms. I told the mayor secretary deaf and hoh people can't ' hear the beep' and also told the mayor secretary about our friend Mark and said I don't what this to happen again .

The city spend money on booklets telling all about smoke alarms and there is not one word about smoke alarms for deaf and hoh people . :(

The city clerk office told me to talk the mayor or fire department about this and the mayor secretary said she had nothing to do with this. So I learned my city is not even thinking about deaf or hoh needing a visual smoke alarm , it would had been nice if something printed about this is their 'Hear the BEEP where SLEEP 'booklet ! I found something for people that are deaf and hoh , it's on the back of the booklet . It's the last thing they printed on the booklet .

Yes, sometimes funerals reveal things about people that we never knew.

Why were there no grave diggers?
 
Just learned that I got discriminated today. How sad can people be?

Wriggles chewing gum patented viagr gum few years ago takes two mins to work.seeing a man over 80 chewing gum with smile on face I will leg it.Switzs invented Valium LS D and chock bars .Some Easter egg that make.never let a dog eat chewing gum it contains something that can kill 65lbs dogs an d chewing gum covered in ground marble at least some do.If you go to church in Somal you have put gum on end of your nose if ging to church.

You kind of lost me after the old man chewing gum with a smile on his face. :lol:

Especially, why you have to wear gum on the end of your nose if you go to church in Somalia (did I get that right?)?

I'm not a gum chewer so maybe I'm out of the loop. :lol:
 
Reba, they are saving the gum to continue chewing after the church service, but not during the service. When I was in school, if we were caught chewing gum as punishment we had to put it on the end of our nose for I don't know how long as it never happened to me.
 
I no idea why they wear it in church they just do..the gum is for old men with problem south of there belt two mins chew and they then up to it...you don't see old men chewing gum now I know viagra in gum I just be thinking who he two mins away from.Been watching useless facts programme.
also if place kebab stick or knitting needle in soap liquid you can put it straight through a balloon with out bursting small ball under arm stops pulse. Causing no problems..I know how magician do it now
