The Social Security Administration sent me a letter today, and they say they have found that my disability is still continuing, so the review has come to a close.

Well, I got curious about a round trip cost on the Amtrak from Chicago to Florida, and guess what I found? Yeah, it's too much. The lowest price was $154.99, the highest was nearly $350  Definitely not gonna be headed down there.

Update: I applied the disability discount, and it costs $130.90, and if I applied my $87 e-voucher, then I could afford it, no problem.

I just checked for a quote for the 5 of my family to go from FL to WA. Round trip, going from $2279 and up to $7207. Think we will just drive ourselves. We will be going up there in a few years to check things out before we move there.

That is a lot of trains. You're talking about at least 4 different trains. Silver Star, Capital Limited, Empire Builder, and possibly one more. And that price is way out of my league.

I'm not planning on heading down there. I was just curious about the prices, and no, I do not intend to head down there anytime soon. I was just curious.
