What did you learn today? Part II

I learned that the Pastor of the church hubby and MIL are going to still has no clue about how to treat a deaf person. I went there this morning since our deaf church was not having service. He ridiculed and made fun of me in a snide way all through service. Personally, I don't think I will ever attend service again there. At least I got to see a lot of friends and get them all caught up on what's been going on. Pastor was just a major prick. (sorry guys!)

Sun: on computer, desktop
Kathy: it just black
Sun: turn power on
Kathy: how?
Sun: button on tower
Kathy: where?
Sun: on tower
Kathy: where?
Sun: on front of tower
Kathy: nope
Sun: try other front
Kathy: nope. Not there. I try Anne computer.
Sun: ok
Kathy: where button Anne computer?
Sun: same Cindy. On tower.
Kathy: not there.
Sun: don't think button left
Kathy: well isn't there
Sun: yes is. Above USB port.
Kathy: definitely nothing there.

Seriously.

If you can't even turn on computer, should not be use it!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Speaking of expressions, I heard this one the other day: ".....yeah, cuddly like a cactus...!" :lol:
 
I learned this expression this summer and I'm starting to think maybe I need to heed it.

"Do not make someone your priority while allowing yourself to be their option."
 
My guess is that the honey was turning to sugar and Dskeptic thought that by warming it up, the honey would "reconstitute" itself. Question now is did she forget to take the cap off? Or nuke it too long?
 
Once, I learned that you can't put a nail polish bottle with metalic paint in the microwave. The sparks were very exciting. lol
 
I Learned that hearing people do not appreciate deaf sarcasm.
 
Also that it is boring to accompany a family member to the oncologist and have the doctor be stuck in surgery. At least they have free wifi!
