What did you learn today? Part II

Oh god... Oh god... Well I hope I'll never need to remove my tooth till my old age. I will have to if it's giving me a problem because it's partially exposed but so far no problem for now.

I had three wisdom teeth like that, and had to be broken and removed in pieces. I had that done when I was 21, and it wasn't that bad, but did drink malts for about a week.

My stepmother waited and had them done at about 50 years old, and she said how much she wished she had it done at a young age.

Jiro, pain is easier to deal with the younger you are. GO GET THAT TOOTH TAKEN CARE OF NOW! :cool2:

(Plus it will be easier to work off the extra calories from drinking all the shakes)

Find a good oral surgeon. Maybe today surgical procedures for impacted extraction are better. Mine was when I was 16, so that's 25 years ago.

Today I learned Why I don't like going to the dentist... THANKS AD!!! :D

if I were 50 years old, that would be year 2031. I'm sure at that time, it would be so advanced that tooth extraction would be considered barbarous

I'm reminded by this scene in old movie - Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home where Dr. McCoy was wearing surgical garb at hospital, passing by this dying old man. He asked him - what's the matter with you?

Old Man said - "kidney dialysis..." and McCoy took a look at his chart and exclaimed - "my god... what is this? Dark Age? Here (giving him a white pill). You swallow that and if you have any more problems, just call me!"

haha my husband quote the same scene today... my mom was talking about a client getting a kidney transplant, and McCoy saying that... and after he gave the person the pill, he came back, and the person was all excited... "Doctor gave me a pill and I grew a new kidney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Both of my bottom WT were like this. No pain for the first 2 days....didn't even take meds. THEN the dry socket hit. Those don't play

Good morning everyone... this morning around 4 AM, I started having a bad cough. I decided to get up, grabbed my iPhone to use it as a flashlight, went to the medicine cabinet and found the cough med. I took it and went right back to sleep. Hour and half later, time for me to get up and took a shower. Then when I stand in front of my mirror, I felt something wrong.. I felt so groggy, sleepy sh*t. Then I realize...oh sh*t, I took the wrong med, it's design for night time med. Now here I am, just made it to my office and I wish I have my pillow to put it on my desk!
Groan...Now I learn to be more careful next time!!

2 of my wisdom teeth are almost like this. They have broken the surface, but they are at a diagonal and have pushed all my bottom teeth inwards and they are all now crooked.

Got bad news when swimming today> No single.deaf cougars for Chonni Silue! Couldn't use Fingerspelling either.
I was the only one in the pool.
Achieved one goal- a hot 5 laps for Bottesini under the eye of the lifeguards-making sure I didn't drown. Nice to know. Pays to be early-sometimes!
