What did you do today? Part II

soon i go over grandma house with family. she want us have family dinner together :) authenic spanish cuban food rock!!!!! :)
 
I've got a couple toddlers under my wing today and am losing control. :giggle:
Guess we are off to Chuck E Cheese's.
 
Was not feeling up to going to church. Legs not cooperating. Had to go to store to get groceries and use a motorized cart. (Hate those things) Just chilling at home now.

I used one when I got out of the hospital, since I was still a little queezy and somewhat dizzy....took me a while to maneuver the darn thing, tho'!...almost ran into a couple of people. Plus, things that are on a higher shelf I cannot reach. And they are so slow....I had the pedal to the metal and after about 2 aisles, I could turn the sharp curves with ease....:giggle:

For me, they are too slow, very unsanitary and demeaning. You should see and hear some of the things people in our stores say to the people using them.
 
I am laying on the couch trying KristinaB trick to get rid of the loud noise I hear. Hubby turned on the Beatles on my MP3 player. I have no clue what it is playing and if it is playing. But I am sitting here trying. It could be off for all I know. KristinaB does this work if you have no hearing left at all? Really need some help with this so, Thanks!!!!

I have absolutely no hearing at all. No eardrums, no cochlea and now, no bones in the ear. There is nothing there. What I do is to mentally see the words to the song. Since I was raised with music and used to listen over and over, I have certain memories with different tapes or recordings. For some reason, whenever I saw Randy Travis, I would automatically "hear" him singing his song "On the Other Hand" and see in my mind, the Interstate at Paducah, KY as I was driving from Florida to Missouri back in 1986.
 
I have zero hearing either (cochlear aplasia) but I love my iPod. Turn on very loud, and hold earphones in your hand.
 
Maybe a lot of music with base, even drums?....Feeling the vibrations. As for hearing the singing, no can do....Why not play some music you have heard before that has a good beat to it. You might be able to follow it then? Even have ur Hubby sing the lyrics to you?

Hubby singing, hahaha. That would be even worse then the horrific sound I hear now!,hahahaha
 
Cooked up a storm to make two dinners, soon will do the laundry while watching the football game, and then get ready to return to work tmw. I am lacking desire for teaching right now and the thought of it just makes me go ugggh.
 
i watch funny show call "absolutely fabulous" is make me laughs hard!!! then i go bed soon bec i have work tomorrow.

I have that white noise that sometimes sounds like a motor running, heavy traffic, or something. It goes 24/7. Ive gotten so used to it that I am stunned when it stops. It doesn't stop very often. It's such a part of my life that I don't notice it all the time. I notice it right now because I am thinking about it.

The funniest part is when I see a motor and suddenly I "hear" the motor, then mention to someone that it would be easier talking if we turn off the motor and then respond with, oh yeah, I turned it off 5 mins ago. Damn!
 
Made hubby's lunches for the week and then, after eating breakfast, took him his lunch for today. Got home and relaxed for a bit, then fixed lunch, took MIL to the lab for blood work, then back home. Then we had a meeting at the Town Hall and so off we went. Have more things to do and found we should not have filed the Quitclaim Deed yet. Now, back home and then back out to take MIL to her weight loss group. I may join again, we will see.
 
Went over to zoning office because i never heard from them after i mailed my zoning application last month and if all is taken care of by tomorrow, I will be able to open up a banking account for my business and in a couple of days i will order stuff to make and then make stuff and open up esty store. I also had to sign stuff for my car insurance..
