Do you like Stephen King? He wrote a book called "Everything's Eventual: 14 Dark Tales." The paperback costs about $8.
 
All the Harry Potter books are good. Not specifically about deaf, but about an oppressed minority of wizards. :)

Were you comparing the wizards to the Deafs like I had??? :) I was thinking about the wizards' pictures (moving) and how it is like Deaf people who can send you a message when posing for a picture by signing or each person fingerspell a letter to form a word, etc.

It sounds like you also like True Crimes books. The facts those crimes were true really scared me.
