What are your plans for Mother's Day?

We are going to one of my favorite Mexican restaurant. And avoiding the severe weather by staying indoors as much as possible.
 
We have sort of a larger group, mother, two brothers, husband, myself, daughter and her boyfriend, son and his girlfriend. We are also going to our favorite Mexican resteraaunt.

Hope it's a quiet meal with family tomorrow but my sister wants to bring another chair here - an $800 chair (who does this?). Tonight she called upset because I texted her that we don't need an $800 chair without arms to go with the expensive and small table she left here that's useless for us and we have no space for anything really. I can't imagine what tomorrow will be like when she gets here. I swear, she acts like our condo is her personal garage. I hope we can avoid a confrontation on Mother's Day. We're having chicken pies that my mother made a while back and a cake that we picked up from Costco. We're aiming to keep it simple and have very little to clean up.

I'll try to guard my tongue tomorrow around my sister.....

Do you have a fireplace , you could tell your sister the chair would made nice firewood then she might get hint. My hearing aid decided to break down on me today . :mad: I had to wear a HA in ear that hurt . We went to the flea market but I really a nothing I liked , a woman use to go there and she had a lot of neat southwestern stuff that I love.
I did see a person with a painting the ocean with wild waves and thought of Rio's painting . :giggle:

TCS's mom is a hoarder. In the past, we'd send her floral arrangements, which she liked, but she kept them on her table long after they died. This year, we sent her a fresh fruit gift, so she enjoyed and ate that. I hope she threw away the box after.

I hope she did not keep the skin from the fruits. I had a neighbor that was a hoarder , she niece had to clean out her aunt condo and she showed me what it looked like. You were not able to walk on the floor in any room and the 2 bedrooms were packed so deep the niece could not open the windows. :shock: My neighbor had stopped taking her meds .

Sorry to hear that , that was a smart idea sending strawberries . My neighbor saved everything and she use really cheap perfume to cover up the smell. I could never understand why her whole unit reeked of cheap perfume , I could always tell when she came home or went out. I knew why when I saw how bad it was.
 
Well how's this for Mother's Day....some rich kids that like to trespass picked this day of all days to camp out by the pond and share a drug pipe. I went downstairs and they looked over and saw me and ignored me as usual so I called the police and gave them the license plate number. They came by and escorted them off but not before the blonde girl looked up at my window...like she didn't know it is was me that called, right? Unbelievable lack of respect these jerks have. I'd love to see what their parents are like.

That is a lovely mother day gift , a phone call from the polices saying they have your kid. The moms can always frame their kids mug shots to hang on the wall.
 
It was raining when I went to flea market on Sunday morning, but I did get some good deals. Later on, we had lunch and watched a subtitled movie.
