Many new washing machine break a lot. Older machines do break, but they run for many years. I suggest you to ask a friend to look at it if he could fix it.
My washing machine was leaked so I got somebody to replace it for free. He also replaced my dryer's belt, too. All I had to buy the parts. He told me that most washing/dryers machines are not made in USA. I think that the machines probably made in China.
