I am thinking about how tired I am getting of all the threads about being able to "hear"..Just tooo many of them..blah!

I think some people are in the wrong place, at least their heart is. Hey, let's all go to music forums and tell everyone that music sucks.

My thinking is that they probably think they can "reform" all of us into wanting to be hearing or something. If it was one or two threads, I wouldnt think it was that but it looks like 50 plus threads about stem cells, speech discrimination, CIs, gift of hearing and so on and on and on which got me wondering...

yea but.... there are some deafies who want to regain their lost hearing so I don't mind these kind of news. I don't read it nor do I care for it but there are others who want to know more about it. It is good to see CI/HA have gotten more and more advanced. I would love to have ITE HA that is as powerful as my BTE HA. However - a few certain ADers have misguided agenda with insidious provocation and disdain. :roll:

Like I said if it was a few threads, fine, but like 50 plus by the same few people? Makes me think that they have an agenda or obsession with hearing...

I know exactly what you mean about the disdain. It is sad, really.

that's to be expected from late-deaf ADers who want to regain it back and that's ok. but what's not ok is their misguided & insidious agenda. I hope they find their peace......

Let's be blunt here. These people are emotionally stunted and are to be pitied. They will shrilly deny it but we know the truth. They do have freedom of speech, however. Up to a point, lol.

Yes, they have freedom of speech and I do too for expressing what I think. :D
 
It's common knowledge that a drug addict's emotional age is linked to the first time drugs were used. So, I sadly shake my head at some posters' verbal assaults on us and wonder what in the world happened to make them that way. They have all the subtle dynamics of a nursery school recess, you know? Ah well.

If I had total freedom of speech, I would click "un-ignore" and post some classic putdowns. As it stands now, that would earn my a trip to the corner. All my years of working mindless jobs has sharpened my knowledge of truck driver/sailor vocabulary. The gentle touch eludes me when dealing with pricks. :giggle:

I know how you feel, lol. As a contractor, I have dealt with my share of pricks. I try to make a point of not using profanity, though. That merely nflames them into physical violence. After a while, you tend to feel who are loose doorknobs and give them the right of way, even though I could push their noses into their throats. :lol:

Many times, it is much more satisfying to let them hang themselves. More entertaining, as well.:giggle:
