What are you thinking about Part VII

Thanks! We where lucky and did not lose any power but I thought the storm was over an went outside with my dog . He was trying to tell me he did not want to go out b/c it was still lighting . I did not hear the thunder until I got outside.

That's good you did not lose power. Usually I wait at least 45 minutes before going outside, for safety reasons, and also to ensure I won't get caught in a sudden downburst of rain.

My dog had to pee and I did not want him to have an accident on my new w/w rug. It did again but I was able to get outside before that happen, we get pop up showers in the summer and sometime you can be driving from one city to the next and it will be raining in one city and not the next one.

That reminds me of a very odd thing I saw once before. One year I was living in Northbrook, IL, and it began to rain, and here's the really odd part-- it was raining on Lake Cook Road, but in the backyard? Nope, no rain at all. That was the only time I ever saw that, and it was really odd.

Maybe the water sprinkler was on. LOL!

I see nothing odd about it. I am older and have thus come across this numerous times. It makes sense that every rain event has a beginning and an end. Haven't you also seen a sharp line between wet and dry pavement?

I have seen this too , I was joking about the water sprinkler being on . I see this a lot while driving around here.

hoping to return to work tomorrow and find my name on next week schedule since they had a typo or oversight or something, putting my name on the chart for next week when i didnt see it on there yesterday after going into work!

Saw it that day. Not since.

I had that happen to me once. Out of all places, it happened in my front yard. I remember standing next to wall of rain and sticking my hand into the rain but with exception of my hand, I was as dry as I could be. Weirdest thing I've ever experienced.

Yeah, similar here. Front yard was wet from the rain, back yard was dry. All the rain was at the front. Odd indeed.

Rain come from clouds and clouds can be over the front yard and not the back yard . Pop up showers do not last long , it can really be really nice out and out of nowhere a few clouds will pass by and bring rain. This happen while eating outside at a restaurant on a nice summer day a lot of people where on the deck and we'll had to run in b/c a rain cloud pass by . The rain did not last long just long enough to keep us inside.

I've heard of those. I don't see those too often here in the city, but out in the suburbs, it was common. The rain we've been getting lately has been of the heavy kind, and has been causing problems for commuters on the expressways, but it has been a few days since it rained, though.

It is one of the great facepalms of my life that I have somehow never gotten a real shop building together.

An endless stream of things to work on and no building.

This is not without a large misery payoff living here in Alaska. One of them being the whenever I get the tools all out and working on a project the birds go and tell the clouds there is an entertainment opportunity happening and they better come rain on it... and laugh in delight as the comical little human down below runs around in circles.

is it included overtime or credit hour??

Nope. Of course not...that's the life of a teacher but since I only teach three 45 minute classes so that's only 2 hours and 15 mins of teaching as opposed to the 6 hours of teaching at my old workplace, I hope that means less to plan for.

Oh then this new job should be a better one for you and hopefully good colleagues too.

I am thinking about looking forward to seeing my parents and oldest sister and law in bro again in sept.. CANT WAIT!

That we got some much needed rain. Kinda ironic considering in June we had nothing BUT rain! (Broke records that month.)

I'm thinking why must my 16 month old find ways to climb on the kitchen table everyday
