Yeah but that does not made is any easier for the parents not being able to bring their baby home with them. I had niece that was not able to bring her baby home and it hard on the whole family .
 
My sister is being discharged today (if she isn't already discharged), but she plans on going up to the hospital everyday to see her baby until she can bring the baby home. I saw them yesterday for a bit, baby is in incubator to keep her warm since she can't keep herself warm. Sister gave her a bottle, and she drank a bit of it. So cute, lots of hair on her little head. Can't wait until she is able to go home and be with the family (big brother really wants his baby sister home).
 
I just realized that we're halfway through the 2010's. This is June 2014, and the 2010's ends on Dec. 31st, 2019.
 
Thinking how 3 chairs that I stained...with Dark Walnut...looking good and shiney....waiting on them to dry....and hope to do some touch-ups this weekend....
 
Thinking about where we want to go this weekend. Hubby and I made a deal that we will do something fun on either Saturday or Sunday of every weekend. Last weekend we drove up to Lake Tahoe, this weekend I think we are going to drive to Santa Cruz. It's a three hour drive but I want to walk on the beach. Never got my chance in Maui since I broke my leg on day two. FUN!!!!!!!
 
had my hands in bleach most of the day my hands so sore and i trying think what can i do as no hand cream or moisture cream in this house

Is there any olive oil, Vaseline, or cooking grease?

Why didn't you wear rubber gloves ?

You should run had run cold water on your hands and I posted a linked to how to treat your hands. We where told to put butter on burns when we where kids and that was the wrong thing to do .
 
So...we ended up not going to Santa Cruz. It really is a very long ride and we decided to do that trip when we can spend the night down there. We got a late start today but we headed east to a small town in the mountains. Most of the shops were closed since it is Sunday but we did find a nice place and had a wonderful lunch. It was 100º so walking around was a little uncomfortable. Elevation was 3000 feet so my poor ears are plugged, even with Sudafed.

Two weekends in a row, are plan is working so I'm looking forward to our next trip.

I am getting homesick for California . :(



I thinking I can't believe the condo is finally going to be painting the railing to the fronts steps after almost 30 years ! The decks are being painted over too ! No wif we can get the stupid condo to water the lawns the place will look a lot better .

Hopefully one day you can make it back. So many beautiful places to see. This is why we decided to stay in California for our vacation this year. No need to travel far when there is so much beauty right here.

I do not know anyone there anymore , all my friends are dead or I lost contact with them.

I live in a town about 45 minutes NE of Sacramento. Pretty much right in the center of California. I can take off in any direction and end up in a beautiful place. There are amazing lakes in our area, then during winter snow skiing is only 45min to 60min. There are times during the year when you could go snow skiing one day and water skiing the next. Or go snow skiing and then the beach the next day. Lot's to do here and I'm definitely going to take advantage of the good days I have and go visit everything I am able to.

In Camelot, it only rains (& storms) at night.

I can sleep through storms now that my hearing is so bad w/o my HAs. :)

That may be true, but thunderstorms this early in the morning is a rarity. That's not the worst of it, though. We're supposed to get dumped with 1.25 inches of rain today, from what I last heard. That may have changed since Saturday. I'll need to check.

We got lucky. It wont dump as much as was called for. Just 0.3 inches will fall.
