Thanks Frisky and Alleycat. It is definitely homesickness that I am feeling. Still feeling it tonight. Hopefully the will be better.

What happen to your car , did you have an accident ? That is a lot of $$$ 'sorry to hear your day as not good.

I posted it a few weeks ago. I was in a multiple vehicle car accident, rear ended, not my fault. Hurt my neck so I am in a neckbrace for a few more weeks. My car didn't look too bad but today the repair shop found a lot more damage. I think they are going to total it. Sad because I love my car. I have no clue what kind of car I want to get.

I forget about the post but I remember it now , I am getting forgetful in my old age , just like my dad did. :(
 
We picked up the CHP accident report today. Shows the driver behind me at fault and the driver behind her at partial fault. Both were traveling at speeds too fast for the traffic situation. I got hit at 40mph then hit again by the last guy going 35mph pushing the car behind me into my car a second time. Still waiting on AAA to find out if they will total my car.

I was driving home today and looked in my mirror to see if any car was behind my car and there was a jackass speeding and coming within inches of my car. I had put on my hazard lights to try get them to slow down but the ass did not get off my tail and he finally passed my car in a no passing zone. He had to been going 80 mph in a 55 mph zone. There was not a cop in sight , the way the ass was speeding I thought he was in a high speed chase . That is a drag about your car being totaled , that happen to my car when a teenage T boned it , I really liked the car and I had a lot miles left on it.
 
Hoping my daughter is able to send me the iPad this weekend. My Kobo eReader is acting up again and I don't know if it is fixable. I sent an inquiry to Kobo tonight. We'll see what they say.

Besides wanting an eReader for lunch time (while eating lunch and during my walk), I will want it for the Oct trip to read on the trains, at least after it gets dark (will be looking out the window most of the day time).

I'll have to use my phone to finish the library book I'm reading, which expires in 2-3 days.
 
Thinking that with my new job, I wont get paid during the summer. Meaning my checks during the school year will be VERY fat. Does that mean more taxes taken from my bring home pay? Yikes!

It will feel like more taxes over 9 months, yes, but the tax rate (withholdings you set on your w4) would be the same, so about the same amount of taxes would be taken out as over the whole 12 months. You'll just need to set aside money from each fatter paycheck to cover you through the summer.

I thought its up to teachers to make choice to get paid for 12 months or 9 months with fatty $$.
 
Thinking how silly I am that I can't stop crying about my car. Hubby went to the repair shop to clear it out. It's gone now..... So many good memories in the car.
 
There's nothing wrong with being attached to something. Hopefully you will enjoy whatever new car you get.

I can dig it , I had a brought a car with my b/f and the back seat was fixed to back all the way . We drove from California to Mexico in the car with and other couple and the trip was too much for our car and my b/f said it was not worth working on and we got rid of it and I cried when we left it at a junk yard .
