It was in the 70's today. Till I went outside :( I think my sweat was sweating.

Sounds like it is going to be really hot in most states these next few days. 108 here on Sunday. We were going to take the boat out for the first time in three years, but that is just too hot:shock:

Stay cool my friends:laugh2:

I'm having vodka for dinner.

I spent a couple hours between the vet, and then the emergency animal hospital for my cat. My last check was absolute crap and I they need more money than I have right now to help her :(

Later I was driving my son to his friends house, I'm crying thinking about my cat dying and a freaking deer runs out in front me :(

I'm having vodka for dinner.

Hope everything works out with your cat.

It's only in the 90s isn't it?

The heat index was 105 degrees at the time of the games. The humidity made it feel like a sauna room. There were heat warnings up and down the Northeast. I sweated buckets of water during the games. My hair was soaked!

I guess that is rare there. We get that in TX all the time. We play tournaments on the weekends in it.

That's not too bad.

actually it's pretty bad. it's not the same as "California/Texas/Arizona" hot.

the humidity here just kills you. if you turn A/C off just for 1 minute or less... the room will get quite suffocating. many of my friends are from "hot as hell" states and when they moved here..... they couldn't handle it.

my A/C has been on 24/7 since Sunday. I'm just praying it doesn't crap out on me. we have 3 A/Cs and 1 went kaput. We haven't replaced it yet because it's very expensive... about $1000+

I am from Phx, AZ and today's heat and humidity was so unbearable for me. When running at the games, all the players had a hard time breathing and several of them are in good shape. It was that oppressive out there. Just standing at 3rd base with the sun glaring on me, I was literally pouring sweat. Now, I am happy to be in my house with the AC! :)

Hang in there.

I'm pretty sure the exterminator that was here Monday killed her. She had to have gotten sprayed by the guy.

You should have seen this deer fly when I hit it. I pulled over, and the guy behind me pulled over, prob to check on us. Him and my son were talking, and laughing and laughing. I was like what was that all about. They were amazed at how high and far the deer flew. I was too really, like 20/30 feet up and, it ran out in front of me from the passenger side, it flew through the air all the across the oncoming lane of traffic and into the ditch on that side if the road. It was unreal. Smoothed my car too.

The thing with humidity, your sweat won't evaporate, too much moisture already in the air, so sweating doesn't help you cool off, you just baste in your own juices. I'm in SC, I used to have line to dry my clothes, in August I couldn't use it. It would so humid the water wouldn't evaporate from the clothes, it would just hang there, wet. ALL DAY

the worst part about this weather is that you can't even sweat to cool yourself. it hurts just to sweat and drown.

That's scary! I am always worried about hitting a deer when driving in the remote highways here.

Did the vet say that your cat won't recover?

Sounds just what it was like at my games tonight!

I am really sorry about your cat. If you ever feel like trying another pet in future, it is very true that the chemicals exterminators use can kill your pet.

They are supposed to be well dried before a pet is on the floor surfaces that have been treated. You should get notice in time from your landlord so you can take your pet elsewhere for the day.

I should have put her in the bathroom, I knew they were coming. She's been there when they've sprayed before. I think she might have gotten in the way and it got sprayed on her or or very near her. They've never warned that they shouldn't be there at all, just that you should contain your animal somewhere. I thought that was more for dogs though, being as they are either more aggressive of more.....omg people people can I be your friend? and jump all over them.

Please tell me more about your humidity.

These are the ten most humid weather cities in the United States. Three of these cities are located in Texas while the states of Washington, Louisiana and Florida have two cities each on the list and the state of Oregon has one. All of these cities are either located along or near the Gulf Coast or inland from the Pacific Ocean in the Pacific Northwest part of the country.
Despite all the humidity many of these cities are very popular with tourists and travelers and the most humid weather city in the country is also home to Vampires and Werewolves.

3) Port Arthur, Texas - 77.5%

With an average humidity of 77.5% Port Arthur is the 3rd most humid city in the United States. Port Arthur is located along the western shores of Sabine Lake just inland from the Gulf of Mexico in southeastern Texas right across the border from Louisiana. About 60,000 people live in the major seaport city of Port Arthur.

7) Corpus Christi, Texas - 76%

Located along the Gulf of Mexico in south Texas the city of Corpus Christi is the 7th most humid weather city in the United States with an relative humidity level of 76%. Corpus Christi has a population of 290,000 and is a big tourist city in Texas located near Padre Island National Seashore.

9) New Orleans, Louisiana - 75.4%

The Big Easy city of New Orleans is the 9th most humid city in the United States and 2nd most humid city in the state of Louisiana with 75.4% humidity. Like a bunch of other cities on this list New Orleans is a big tourist city filled with attractions and hotels so travelers and tourists do not seem to mind high humidity levels.

10) Houston, Texas - 75%

Houston is the largest population city in Texas and the 4th largest in the United States with 2.3 million people. With an average relative humidity level of 75% Houston rounds out the list of most humid weather cities in the United States and is the third Texas city to make the list which is no surprise to people familiar with Texas.

Also... $1,000 for an air conditioner is very very cheap here.
