Can't keep up...she broke up with Dallas...got back together....was pregnant....now says she isn't....

Did you miscarry?...If so, I'm truely sorry.
 
AH done with After Effects class and course for this fall term.. gotta do Film Crew Training Intro final class on Tuesday next week and that's it for fall term till winter term classes start up in January.. what fun for After Effects class.. some interesting ones some whoaaaa never saw before but cool.. now if i can get the damn AE program to continue for use without having to deal with PITA serial thing..blahhh... same thing for Dreamwaver, Photoshop and others.. ehh.. did mention this to my instructor in AE and he said he will check around see if he can get me some help with this somehow in a proper way... just had a fun time.. did take the AE final exam and I think I did okay but wanna see what the hell happens later hehe..

She is mad at me because I said no to her wanting to stay in AZ for two more weeks in the summer instead of flying out here on June 8th as per the court orders so she could go to some dance show with her friends. She got all upset and then later on my ex hubby texted me saying that if I dont let her go, my relationship with her will be ruined. I told my daughter that I will have a long talk with her when she is here over Thanksgiving and she texted back saying that she doesnt want to talk to me and some other nasty stuff so I told her that I will have a talk with her about badmouthing me when she gets here because I wont tolerate it.

Then, later on my ex texted me saying that I better not ruin her Thanksgiving.

That was it...I scheduled an appt with my therapist for both of us on the day I pick her up. I am fed up with this game of making me the bad person.

Yeeeee, that doesn't sound too good. Your ex may have skewed her point of view against you while in AZ. Hopefully your therapist will get to the bottom of it and get it straight. I'm thinking your DD is better off living with you because there was no trouble until she moved to AZ with her dad that I recall.

I hope this doesn't ruin your Thanksgiving. :hug:

Teenagers....playing both parents against each other....it's normal!...Just stand ur ground, Shel!...Once she gets to ur house, it will all be forgotten in a day or so....I would not let it upset me too much....Teenagers know how to push the buttons! and I've found that if I ignore it, it works best for everybody....As for ur ex hubby...he sounds like a whining child! I'd tell him to stick his T'sgiving turkey u[ his azz....

Everytime she is here from AZ, everything with her is great but as soon as she returns to AZ, drama with him and her. I dont understand it. He got what he wanted so why continue to give me more shit?

Iam just leaving her alone until she gets here on Wed and wont say anything about this whole thing unitl we see my therapist at 3PM. See what magic he can do..lol.

I am learning how to not to take what she says personally anymore because I know I am doing the right thing by putting my foot down and saying no to her coming on June 30th instead of the 8th. She has to make some sacrifices as well so too bad for her. I have no sympathy this time.

Of she balks just tell her the tickets for the plane are already paid for in advance. If she wishes to come on another date then she needs to pay her own way and make the arrangements. This means she needs to get a job to pay for her own way as well as working with her boss to get the time off from work to travel. She realize it's a lot harder and will give in to your way because for her it's easier for her as well as everyone else involved.

I am thinking I might have made a mistake. Not too sure.I checked out a video from the library for learning 7 songs or prayers in ASL. After watching and seeing that some of the signs did not match what is used in my Deaf church, I took the DVD back without going over it again or trying to learn it. When I mentioned it this morning at church, quite a few people thought I was nuts. they claim that I can't possibly know the difference in the signs to know if they were regional or not.

Well - I can read the text on-screen to know that the sign used for "Heaven" and what they use in our church are 2 different signs. Also, there were about 5-6 others that are different. Since I don't plan on moving out of Florida again, I figure I only need to worry about the correct signs for this area. Maybe I am wrong. I don't know.

I've seen so many different signs for words!....ASL isn't universal, or what I mean is that it isn't the same with everyone. I know it isn't with different States....I've been misquoted many times...:giggle:...and misunderstood (even here in Florida, since I'm a native of N.C.)

Kristina, people have different signs for some words even in the same region. For example, "happy birthday" has something like 23 different variations! I don't think you did anything wrong at all. I think your idea about using the same signs as everyone else in your area is a good one so there's no confusion.
 
^^^Kristina, don't be worried/concerned/anxious about using different/alternate/varying words! ;)

Think of these signs as sort of a local 'dialect'.

When I was in collage my guidance counselor told when me when she was at Gallaudet and when to church and ASL interpreter used the wrong sign for together'. Every time the preach said 'together' the interpreter used the sign for 'fuck' . People where falling a sleep but when they saw 'fuck' being signed they woke up.
 
Kristina, I've seen deaf people have discussions over the "correct" sign. Each deaf person has her/his own preference. It's often a matter of region or dialect. Sometimes, it's like slang. Soon enough, you'll be able to explain your favorite sign, too.

Remember, you are just learning and I was told by someone yesterday, we dont grow if we never make mistakes. Dont worry about it. :hug:
