What are you thinking about? Part IV

Thinking that I got major projects on my house to do this summer. Just learned that my hubby is going to build a deck and wants me to help him build it....:eek:

Will power clean the house, front porch, and paint parts of the fence that's new tmw
Thursday and Friday, power clean the old fence (that will take 2 full days!)
Sat...nothing
Sunday...paint the front porch steps

Monday, start washing the living room walls and tape it to get ready for it to be painted
paint it all next week

The following week, remodel and paint the 1st floor bathroom..will put in new mirrow, vanity, and paint it a different color

The two weeks after that...paint the kitchen, mud room, and the hallway

Then, the last week, paint my master bathroom and replace the light fixtures


Week after that, if I can afford it, replace the 80s style fan in the living room


Then, that's all for this summer but just learned about the deck so I guess I will add that.


Then, in Fall, paint the rest of the fence

Nothing during winter and spring as I will work a lot of hours at my 2nd job to save money for projects for the following summer (hopefully remodeling the kitchen and get new appliances).

Finally, we are able to do things to our house.

Yea, i want to learn and save money as well.

Oh..forgot to add another thing...I will fix the rain gutters that blew down from previous storms tmw as well.

When I first bought the house 4 years ago, I had never mowed grass in my life and now, I do good yard work with mowing, trimming, weeding, planting and all that. I have learned a lot in the past 4 years and I knwo I will learn about remodling homes if I try it.
 
Awesome. Just be safe on the side. ;) I don't have any passion about it yet. :lol: eh..

I am OCD about having a nice looking home and nobody else was keeping up with it so I just started and now, it has gotten easier.
 
I m thinking to fly to Boston tomorrow. I hope weather will be prefect.

Think I'm starting to get sick... Woke up with a sore throat. :(
 
Thinking that power washing the house is definitely harder than it looks. Just spent two hours on the front porch and half of the eastern side of the house. Havent gotten to the back and the other side. Not gonna paint the fence today.

I never found you as self-centered or negative. Just someone who had some rough times.

yeah i am with alleycat and shel. kristina, you take care of your family is a lot of work that I can understand...

I agree with the others - you don't sound negative, just dealing with a lot.
 
Thinking that 5 hours of manual labor outside is enough for today. Maybe I will just put in 5 hours a day on fixing up my house 5 times a week since I will get off work at noon for the summer. :hmm:

Thanks all. I know I've had quite a few rough patches and things are still not looking real well, but I really appreciate the votes of confidence here. I just felt like I was sinking in my posts, but I guess not.
 
I am thinking how impatient I am that I am ready for the next 10k race coming up. Remind you that I am only looking for the reasonable prices and near by to participle. I found one and it will be in september. So thats why I have no patient and afraid that I may lose my skill for it. lol
 
Thinking about how sweetly my daughter asked me to take her to Michael's to look at beading supplies. Maybe next week or so, I will take her also to the beading store just south of here.
