To add to Jiro's last, I was talking about some exceptions to insurance coverages.

It is not mandatory but I have chosen to pay separately for earthquake insurance...terms are not very good but it is SOME peace of mind.
 
MIL will be getting the hurricane coverage, flood coverage, and fire coverage along with her policy. Her house is paid off, but she still wants coverage. Living off a runway for the international airport leaves one wondering. We had a near accident with a plane here just a few weeks ago. He was losing altitude and the area was evacuated for a short time. I am literally 1 mile from the runway.

Even with that, ya gotta wonder exactly what will be covered......maybe TXGolfer will be along and shed some light on some of the lesser known stuff...
 
Im thinking that being part of a committee for a Deaf event is NOW starting to get to me.. the stress part I mean. *sigh*

I wish I could.

To be honest I never understood what was gonna be covered and what wasn't. I would go in sometimes and think ah this will be covered and it wasn't and vice versa. I gave up guessing. I would just go in and say....this needs to be done. Insurance would tell me what they would pay for and then I would collect from the homeowner for the rest if something wasn't covered.

But you are correct about having to have riders for certain things. In north Texas it is Hail.

Sports Medicine-yes, actually it is Kinesiology (athletic trainer)
