Agreed. I have resorted to watching AFV on ABC Family. It was that or Joel Osteen.

Speaking of Joel Osteen...I've seen some of his shows. Makes me wonder if he's taking vitamins or something?...whatever it is, I'd like some!

THIS...

On Monday, January 31, sheriff’s deputies raided a Texas ranch (about 3 hours northwest of Houston). The original warrant was for 39 horses, but a second seizure warrant was obtained for 230 dogs (including over 200 Rottweilers), 13 rodents, 18 cats, a primate, a deer, a raccoon, a monitor lizard, two Bengal tigers and two Mountain Lions.

According to KWTX - Home - Waco, Temple, Killeen - Weather and News the owners of the property/animals are Curtis Moore, 51, and his wife Raycene Moore, 63. They were arrested and have been named in 57 misdemeanor complaints and 7 state jail felony complaints and authorities have said more charges are possible.

These Rottweilers need your help!!! The dogs are currently being housed at the Houston SPCA. Included are lactating mothers with puppies and pregnant bitches. These dogs have undergone a huge change.

The American Rottweiler Club (ARC) Disaster Committee, headed by Lew Olson, has organized a team of experienced dog people who will be helping the SPCA evaluate all of the dogs.

Currently these animals are confiscated, and are still not the property of the SPCA. They may well be held for some time, until the owners either voluntarily surrender them or a court orders this. So sometime, hopefully soon, these dogs will become the property of the SPCA. Then, not only the ARC Rottweiler Disaster Committee, but other local rescue groups will be helping to foster these dogs, in hopes of eventual placement in a “forever” home.

The ARC originally formed the ARC Disaster Committee and Disaster Fund during the time of Hurricane Katrina to help with, and pay for, feeding, veterinary care and transporting Rottweilers to foster or permanent homes, either directly or in support of other rescue organizations. While the original intent was natural disasters, the ARC BOD has now approved the funds to be used in this case because of the number of Rottweilers confiscated; while a man-made situation, it is a DISASTER nevertheless.

Additional funds will be needed to help in this endeavor, so please send a donation to:

The American Rottweiler Club Disaster Fund Lin Beenen, ARC Treasurer 975 Cumberland Ave. S.E. Lowell, MI 49331-8685

Checks should be payable to ARC, with notation in memo section of check: “Texas Dogs”.

ARC is a 501(c)3 organization, so donations are deductible under Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.
Volunteers are also needed to transport, foster, evaluate and help fund raise. The Committee needs help in compiling this information and administrative duties as well. For more information, please contact:

I want a rottie but I don't know if I would want one from a raid. I don't want a bad tempered dog.

Wirelessly posted

I am thinking about going to a deaf bowling today.

Thinking that I forgot to say thanks for everyone's support about my situation. Thanks and I appreciate it. I just have to do my best.

Hang in there Shel90. Hopefully there will be another way to fight it.

I'm thinking about my Grandma as she passed away few days ago... So I'll be flying back home to New Zealand for a funeral in next few days. :(

Rest in peace Grandma!

I do not get AFV on ABC Family. I can only comcast in my city and the some station keep showing the same moves all week ,and some time the same movie is show back to back!

I need to do some work on my door when the deadbolt slide into , , the wood need to be replace , what do call this part of the door ? I think is called the door jamb??

Am thinking about my son's g/f...we went to the Flea Market. While I was getting vegetables, she went to another booth where a man was selling jewelry...saw a "gold" chain for $75...he told her it was 14Kt....so she bought it! (for her b/f)....She found me later, and said "look what I've bought for Shawn!"...Ahhh...it was not Italian gold! It was gold-plated...I told her to take it back...the man had packed up and left the Flea Market by then...

I've never bought jewelry from a Flea Market....Even when I took her to the Pawn Shop, they would not even consider buying it! Lesson hard learned!

What a bummer! I was in a second handstore in Ca. years ago and saw a pin
the was marked 14Kt and I was think it was going to cost at least $25.00
it was only $5.00! The woman did not know it was real gold! The pin was from the 40's, my mom had one like it.

Jiro, :ty: for your words on the Rottie in relation to Ember's post.

Botti, yes that's true about the puppy-

ember, there are many wonderful Rotties available through rescue, shelters and from reputable breeders <NEVER NEVER BUY from pet store, neighbor, newspaper, swap meet, etc.>
often dogs from the situations like I put up in Texas have good or wonderful temperaments/behavior even given horrendous circumstances; most shelters also generally do a pretty good job of testing to determine adoptability.

if u want any more info. then that, let me know-
