What are you thinking about? Part III

I'm thinking these cats must be beginning to get hungry. They are still hiding under my bed and have not come out unless we pull them out. Then they run back under. I told family to just leave them alone. They know where the food, water and litterbox are, so they can help themselves. Am I wrong?

Nope, I agree. Just leave them be. Are they in a room with a closed door? If so, keep it closed for now. Keep the food, water and litterbox in there for the time being. Take some of the food and sprinkle it under the bed. If they're hungry enough, they'll eat it.

I have had same situation as yours. When I brought my kitten home from the vet clinic, I took him out of the carrier, and put him in the kitchen and he ran and hide behind the washer/dryer set. I decided to leave food, water and litterbox nearby for him. Later, he came out and ate some food. He smelled everywhere. I decided to give him some space, to get familiar this place. He run and hide for a few days. I was not worried about that. When he gets a little older and he feels comfortable and he decided not to run and hide anymore. He follows me everywhere since then. I am sure your cats will be OK. :)

Being here in Florida It's not good to leave the food out quite like that since it will draw bugs. Also, since we don't have central A/C or heat, I have to leave the door open. Litter box is in our bathroom just off the bedroom and food and water is in the kitchen where they have to travel through the living room. Daughter did say that they ventured out last night about 3am to explore and get food. The litter box has been used. Daughter pulled one out earlier today and he seemed to be fine, but for some reason, hubby scares him. Must be because the previous owner was only 5'3" and hubby id 6'5". Big tall scary dude and all, you know? It will take a few days, but if it doesn't get better, we will take bed apart and redo the stuff under it and block all way under it.

Ah.. I forgot all about that. My mother and her husband live in FL as well. They have a Calico cat named Callie. My mother usually put the bowls on the top of the dryer. Callie jumped and eating. When the food's empty at night. My mother take and wash one of the bowls, to prevent the ants to come in, which is a pain. Good idea about redoing the stuff under it and block all way under it.
I forgot to say congrats on your addition furkids! I apologize! I hope you enjoy your cats as much as I did! ;)

I am thinking of zumba training got one more chance to apply hope it don't sell out! :fingersx:

I'm at the Laundro'Mat because I own three washing machines and three dryers in three different states, but none are with me. GRRRR.

Wash, wash, wash. Thank goodness for free Wi-Fi.

Sammy the cat has come out for some loving and has used the litter box. He is licking my hands as I pet and rub him. He is so loving. Tail is upright and coming to a question mark tip.

Ahh sweet love!

I am thinking about how for the first time a post of mine was removed cause of name calling.......and I didn't do the name calling. I was actually sicking of for the person. :giggle:
