is thinking how relieved I am... less financial burden for me.... my bro just got hired by BNP.

thud! cuz I was kinda freaking out when I got payment books from bank for my new SUV.
Didn't you know what it would cost before you bought it? :hmm:

of course. I didn't have a car for 3 years so I have plenty enough to pay for it if I were unemployed for a year but it's just that I always freaked out whenever I see $$$ bills

I'm thinking where did I put some Christmas presents?

I distinctly remember wrapping them up but can't remember where I placed them, ugh!

I had that happen to me one year. My mom found a still wrapped Christmas present stuck in the back of a drawer in her dresser in July. I don't even remember what it was though. Probably a new shirt or a book. I got lots of clothes and books growing up.

Oh BTW - I have decided my DD and I should start our own tradition. I am thinking about getting one of those mini-desktop trees and decorating it. On Christmas Eve my daughter and I can choose one gift each to put under our tree. Then, on Christmas morning when we wake up, we can have 'our' Christmas together just me and her before going downstairs to have Christmas with the rest of the family. I will look around to see if someone has an old desktop Christmas tree they want to unload. If that fails I can go dig up a small pine tree, put it in a cup with some soil and water and put ornaments on it although it may look as pathetic as Charlie Brown's tree. :aw:

That Ramsay Hunt Syndrome and Ocular Histoplasmosis Syndrome, are not really complimentary.

Eventually I am screwed.

I prefer my norm, which is mindlessly upbeat. Hoping tomorrow is a better day. Goodnight.

Crap. Another concussion. Played soccer tonight. Was the goalkeeper. Made a save and was laying prone. But a players' knee hit the side of my head and felt it rattle around a bit. Vision got blurry and things got slow. Took some time and stayed in the game. Stupid. Back to retirement.

Take 3 days off, then slowly get back to it. I've had concussions before but I've never let them rattle me too much. One from softball, 2 from basketball, so far none from soccer, but I've been banged around.

:gpost:

Had a pretty bad one 2+ years ago that took me months to recover from and had another concussion about a month ago.

:hmm: dunno if I can take off work (especially w/o a doctors note). I really shouldn't since the commute is long and the work is not really "good" work to have like this. gahhhh. And our work is getting a lot deadlines in place with some people out sick (my manager seems near death it seems like; I fill in trying to keep team projects organized). See how I feel in the morning. Dixie!

As long as the work isn't physically strenuous then I would go ahead and go in. But if you get Alaska-sized headaches and become sick, tell your boss you need the day off. Go to the doc, get a note, then return to work the next day. At least this way your boss will have to let you off work due to medical reasons if the Doc will not release you. Once you have missed 5 days, you can begin to draw from FMLA.

:thumb:. I took time off for the last concussion.

The work I'm doing for the most part of the day is doing a lot of switching between windows and copying and pasting data...one location to another location. making sure things line up with other bits. I do this about 800-1,000 times in about 6 hours. I'm very quick because I know the "Alt-Tab" switching technique (fowards and backwards). The other two hours is updating and organizing projects for the boss and maybe a meeting or two. Luckily, tomorrow, half of the day is our holiday party.

thinking about how frustrated I am with my bank. Got a letter from them stating I overdraft on my saving account (maintenance fee) and I specifically walked up to them and told them to closed my saving account. The letter threatened if I don't pay, I will not be able to get a bank account anywhere. It was suppose to closed month ago. They nearly ruin my reputation by keeping it open.

YOu know I said bad things come in threes? TV, Bed, Dryer?

Make that four. Last night a branch the size of a llarge tree collapsed on our back fence. :(

Flattened a section.

They wouldn't just keep it open if you requested it be closed because they would given you any monies you had left in your account at the time of your request. Especially since this was a savings account. Checking accounts may take a few days to close because they wait for all checks/EFTs to clear first.
