My hours are usually on call and range between 3pm well into 1am. Luckily only an evening shift today. :thumb:

Doctor hours :giggle:

Really, that was going to be my specialty - still followed me!

Yes, I do remember that was your speciality. If you don't mind me asking, any chance of pursuing the medical field?

Not really, my blind condition pretty much derailed plans to continue. Having fun playing RN?

Yes, I am having a great time. Too bad you are far away, I can always use a pre-med for volunteer :giggle:

 with air travel, I'm not so sure I feel safe even 3000 miles away. LOL

AND what in God's name are you injecting everybody on AD with?!

Not feeling safe? I am gentle :giggle:

I inject with salt water and we practice on each other.

"Salt Water" - isn't that what you got Jinxedkitten hooked on? Stay away from that potassium chloride!

Seriously, are you in training to be a nurse? Or are you expanding your career options? Either way, I applaud you for following what you want to do. :)

Yes, I am training to become a medical assistant. I would prefer to work in deaf friendly community to help interpret along with being a certified MA. Thanks :)

Congratulations Ocean! That field is becoming more in high demand due to shortage of nurses and the aging baby boomer generation. Now I'm thinking about my own priorities. Even for a guy, you are an inspiration! :)

Thanks :) its a great field to enter and make a difference. The calling nurse thread is inspirational having more deaf involved in medical field. I just wish we all can pair up to work together and no language barrier with me. Don't allow anything to stop you from your dreams.

Tell me about it, I am stuck in a house with two TVs that are older models with no CC :( miss the black CC machine lol, I wonder if anyone remembers what I am talking about?

:eek3: no way.... that's some relic there!

Thinking two things-- "tech-savvy" folks need to brush up on the basics of computers.

And... I should go to bed.

I am thinking some people's got quite a way to go

I have an ironic story and want input on it... I've been studying to become an interpretor for three years. Two weeks ago I was in a car accident and both of my eardrums were ruptured. I've lost all my hearing and basically all my hearing friends have abandoned me because they cannot understand me... I'm having trouble connecting myself to the deaf community and have been evicted from the hearing one.. I don't feel accepted from either cultures.. help???????

You need to go to the late deafened thread. These guys are just techies. They don't do emotions.

But while here, did you know that eardrums heal?

here is the link what botti was talking about.

I knew you weren't talking to me, but I was just being random... excuse my tiredness, its after 10pm down here.

maybe you should close AD and go to sleep?

Jake, what time do you need to get up for work? im nosey. *sipping my warm coffee*
