It's 90 here which is pretty normal, but 50% humidity is making is a little rough.

We are sitting at 88.1 with a heat index of 100 and 69% humidity. They are warning people to stay indoors as much as possible. The police have been picking up the homeless to take them to shelters already and the fire departments have opened hydrants in some areas of the park where homeless people are just to cool off.

That's awesome! (about the police picking up the homeless and taking them to the shelters)...dunno if that is done here in Jax. There is a homeless man who lives in the woods next to a busy highway, he comes out off & on, acting real "goofy"...he looks pretty rough. Dunno who I should call to report it, or even if I should?

Its a bit warm outside here too. I can't wait for tonight with my jr high buddies going to a concert:)

Yeah, they gave up the bad air warning. I hate keeping my niece locked inside! :(

I am thinking how much a dread packing in this heat. At least it's not much and it's only for a short trip, if hubby gets the job, but geez, the heat is draining.

I'm thinking about my next piercing, hm.... I like to hide 'em so I'm pretty limited here =/

Get married???? There are American women just crazy enough to do it.

I am currently accepting applications from females that want to become Americans

Yeah, even if you do get married. It takes awhile for the spouse to be approved for immigration to the States.

Piercing process was delayed.. rescued a red-eared slider, found the feller in front of my apartment (go figure) so that was a source of my entertainment tonight =)

How'd that end there?

I lost one a long time ago when I was a kid. It somehow escaped the tank and disappeared never to be seen again.

Aw, a tragic tale.. perhaps that is what happened to this turtle as well. He is lounging in my room now, luckily my neighbor works at a pet store so she helped me get the little guy set up (wipes forehead)

That's kinda nice to run into people like that for the spur of the moment. :thumb:

Watch out, those little guys are like nocturnal spider men. When you aren't watching, they be climbing out..

I had the greatest time at the Pat Benatar concert, can't believe it happened as a kid was too young to go to concerts  Tonight, it meant a lot and I took some nice close up pics. Its funny, my friend from jr high invited me talk about a retro night  My other friend couldn't get in, they were not allowing people to enter (free concert).

Could be a pest feral turtle.

Red-eared sliders are considered as invasive pest species in B.C. and along the west coast because they managed to survive in the wild and breed. But they're not suppose to be found naturally outside of the Mississippi River tributary.

o_O invasive pests? Sounds like male homosapiens..

.. but, this turtle is cuter than most men so I'm a-keepin' him around.

I am thinking of how much I look forward to resting at home tonight after my mom and aunts leave. I am so exhausted from working and all the activities all week.

I am thinking why hasn't Obama said any thing about all the wildlife dying from the oil spill! He has gone to Lousiana two times and he had not one said a word about the animals! Has anyone else notice this or can think of any reason why Obama not saying anything?

Don't really think there is anything else to say than a few lines, which he probably already did with the people there off-screen. Everyone already knows about the wildlife.
You mean he should say sorry to pets watching across the globe?
