Hello everyone!
I am writing here in order to gain information about your problems with the alarm in the morning. I am part of a team that is trying to develop a new product, improving the existing one:
what are your main problems with the current devices?
What would you like to improve?
Thanks in advance!

Nothing wrong with the kind I use. I use the Sonic Boom clock with a lamp ("shake awake" does not work on me very well)... never had an issue.

Bigger problem comes when traveling. Almost all travel alarms are the 'vibrating' kind and as noted.. I don't wake up easy to those and I always worry I'll knock it off the bed or it gets moved somehow from under pillow. Only recently I discovered some apps that uses the camera flash. Unfortunately there aren't many out there- the one I tried is not a very full fledged app- to me anyway (for one I can't seem to delete alarms that I put in temporary). Interestingly the same developer has a flash alert for notifications- that one is awesome and works very well.

Sonic products seems have issue with durability, over 10 years, 4 Sonic products have been broken after used for one year, so I don't put Sonic products in checked baggage and I already know that Sonic products likely to fail on arrival after rough at airport.

Right now, I have Sonic Alert since 2013 and don't have issue with it, but I don't like "Slow" and "Fast" button. I prefer "HOUR" and "MIN".

The Sonic Boom Alarm clock I have is 15 years old and still works like a champ, other than randomly turning off the lamp sometimes when it is on...doesn't bother me. The travel alarm ...I have two- I know one is from Sonic...I think...lol. One is dead even when putting a new battery in (that one actually has two different kinds of battery- that's how old it is lol..).

What do you think about a device similar to a smart-watch, but done just for you, so that the price is low and the functions are in a smaller number (in this way the battery durability can be higher). This device is easily transportable and you could use it as alarm and for reminders as well.

I use to use a smart watch. it worked better good, some days I just slept through it but I sleep like a rock. the only reason I still don't use it is because I lost the charger, it was a galaxy fit

I use the Sonic Boom (shake feature)...and when I travel, I just take the clock with me.
