I have been in contact with chris' mom, and since her internet is temporarily down she ask me to post this thread with the following:

"Hey all, I'm asking for get well soon wishes for my 6 year old son that fell on the playground and cut under his chin and required 4 stitches. It will mean so much for him to be able to read the well wishes when I can get internet up again.

Thanks guys and miss being on AD."

Hey 6 year old. Hoping you feel better soon. Wish I knew your name.

Stitches are no fun. When I was 9, I got 16 stitches in my knee from falling down and it was hard waiting for it to heal.

Hope you got a nice toy or something if you were brave at the doctor.

Hi Jason, I heard about your accident on the playground. I wish you a very speedy recovery and hope you did get a toy for behaving for the doctor :)

Jason,

I know stitches are no fun! I got some when I fell with my bike at the age of 6 years (same as you). I hurt my knee pretty bad and it hurt a lot! I didn't like the stitches at the beginning but then I showed them to my friends and they thought it was cool! My daddy gave me a plush which made me feel better right away after our trip to the hospital!

It took some time for me knee to heal again, then I got the stitches removed (which hurt some - not a lot I swear!) Then I was all good to go home.

Next time I rode the bike I was being very careful looking out for bumps and holes ;)

I'm sure your mummy will take good care of you! As a thank you, you should give her a kiss and a hug in return. I'm sure she will love that :D

Get well soon!!!!! Here's a cute little piccie for you I found on the internet to cheer you up!!!!

Many hugs from faaar away (France - I'm sure mummy can show you on a map where this is)

Hope you're alright, Jason and feel better soon!

Hey, Jason, that is a good name, like Jason and the argonauts.

Scars and such aren't fun to get -- That is why we avoid them. But everybody gets them and you are as brave or braver than anybody else.

And you have Mom with you. That is what Mom's are for -- To help us through all the rough times.

A brave boy and a caring Mom is the heart of a great family.

You will do fine.

Jason,

I'm praying that you get well soon.

Reba :)

Jason, I hope you feel better soon! Stitches are no fun but soon you will be as goo as new! hang in there we are all thinking of you!

Thank You everyone for the get well wishes for Jason. He got the stitches out he got the stitches out on April 2nd and was very brave!! He liked the idea of not getting them wet..that is till he found out he still had to have a bath!! Poor guy.

Anyways after the stitches came out on Thursday (the 2nd) that following monday April 6th I got a call from the school nurse yet again saying I need to take Jason in for x-ray cause he fell off the monkey bars. So back up to the doctors office for us. Luckly he had no broken bones!! Poor kid. I told him Tuesday when we got to school that he can't get hurt no more!! Anyways all is well now and we are wishing Everyone a happy Easter!

Boy, are you bringing back memories!:giggle: I raised a very active boy and I used to say that he could get hurt just getting a drink of water! His first stitiches were at the age of 2, and by the time he was 6, he had gone for stitches 3 times, and broke the growth plate in his right wrist falling off a skateboard. Dislocated his shoulder at the age of 9 when he was ramping his bike. He just seemed to have a real knack for hurting himself!

Glad to know that all is well with Jason now. Just tell him to be careful when he is hunting Easter Eggs, lol.

I guess I'm very lucky that this was my first "trauma" to deal with. I have 3 boys and the oldest in 9. But I sure thought Chris would be the first one with stitches because he has NO FEARS!!!

Boy, can I relate to that! My son wasn't scared of anything!! "You can get hurt doing that!" just had no meaning for him, lol!

Oh, yeah...with 3 boys you are lucky this was your first trauma! But you and Jason both made it through.
