Weird habits

Here's my weird habit. Now, don't laugh at me because I'm being bold just posting this...but one of my weird habits is books. No I don't mean reading them. I do eventually, but this is the thing. Whenever I'm watching television or sitting at the computer or just doing something that involves sitting stationary for a long period of time, I HAVE to have a paperback book in my lap. I don't know why, but ever since I was a little kid, I would do that, and I stroke the corners of the pages...kind of as if you're flipping the pages, only I'm only flipping the upper right hand (page-side) corner with my fingertips.

Mike thinks I'm nuts. I don't think I've ever met anyone else who did something like that, LOL...but...do share your weird habits here. :)

I have this odd/weird habit of having conversations with people when I'm alone. I guess that would mean that I talk to myself? lol But, anyway...

Yeah, I do this. It has a become a way for me relieve stress and express thoughts that I have bottled up inside. It also is a way for me to say the things I want to say to people without hurting them. Some thing I think I need to do MORE of, but whatever. This is one of MANY weird habits that I possess.

:lol: same here I usually talk to myself almost all the time even at work I have to be careful and play with pager cuz pager have AIM so i can even be on and chat wiht a friend til break time is up cuz I don't carry a pager with me when I do work anyways... hm what more I wud pick on my ear by tryin to clean wax out eh.. I ain't gonna explain more cuz I'm def weird :roll:
 
How about reading the dictionary or the phone book just for the fun of it.

Another one!! I do the same thing! I just can't help it nor have a chance to prevent it before it comes up! :Oops:

Another thing is -- for some strange reason, I like to watch people get sick -- vomiting or whatever, it interests me to see someone throwing up. :roll: But I do not get too close to the vomit though unless it's part of my job in cleaning up the mess! :giggle:
 
Anuzzer thing -- I like scouring the web for any gory pictures -- the goriest ones as possible. I check one specific site (cannot mention here) as it posts heaps of sickening but fascinating pictures of dead people.
(I used to study Anatomny and Physiology as part of my studies towards Psychology and Social Work Masters degree.)

You're just like one of my good friends! She loves to watch operations on the television and also see some body pictures. I don't know why, but she said it was intriguing for her to see how body works together and all that. I don't know if she likes gory pictures as in murders and beheading and so on...

LOL Yep! Actually, I've done this, also. Like I already posted, I have many strange quirks! :)

I have told this story to friends. But, when I was little, I stole my Mother's medical dictionary. I was, maybe, seven or eight years old at the time, so I'm not really sure if I actually knew how to read yet. Well, not very well, anyway. I remember reading the dictionary, though, and understanding some of it. And, seeing the diagrams and thinking "You mean it LOOKS LIKE THAT?!" LOL

The dictionary was quite worn and tattered, so eventually, she threw the thing away. And, me being the resourceful child that I was sometimes, I went and took the dictionary out of the trash and hid it in my room. Mom eventually found the thing again, and threw it away a second time. And, then a third... lol Eventually, she fussed at me for not leaving it where she put it. LOL But, anyway ...Back to the point of the thread...

Oh, yes. Mostly my three-year-old.

"Mommy, who are you talking to?" He'll ask me.

"Oh, just the girl in the mirror, honey," I say, "It's okay. We're not arguing, I promise."

LOL! thats cute about your son catching you talkin to your self..
ONe time i was baking Thanksgiving turkey and i was out of butter so had to run to the store, kinda driving fast and the cop stopped me for speeding and i apologize for speeding but he gave me a ticket anyway and i thought he was walking away and i was talking to myself saying "what a turkey"..he was actually behind my car and he heard me and said "what did you call me?" LOL!
talk about embarrassing! I said "OH no i dont mean you, i meant what a day for Thanksgiving, having to run out of butter and getting caught for speeding"
he laughed! (whew!)
 
My tend habits...
Watch'n T.V DOOL catching up while it was recording from 2 weeks.. and same time Eating Ruffles Regular chips.
Loves to watch TLC any showing and same time eating Ruffles Regular chips.
Checking emails/Msg'd board forums every morning/Afternoon and before I goes bedtime.
*Routines always same* Sumth'n odd?
Getting tired of my hubby loves steal remote control and hides... (made me fusterate and to find remote control) while he is not here around.. I believe he want prevent me to watch showing... "TLC"

While reading another post on here, I realized I had another weird habit I wanted to share (and I bet even YOU don't do this, Malfy ... lol) I sneeze after I eat dinner. EVERY TIME! Not sure what to make of this, but my Mom also does this. We both have allergies, though. However, I highly doubt that we're allergic to food (as in, being allergic to EATING, itself. Not specific foods lol) :dunno: I'm strange! :shrug:
