Weekend Special

I thought the mod would read it. since there's a "demand" to keep it alive.. I guess I have to cave in and keep it running! :cool2:

By all means, Enjoy this at the popular demand of other members asking you tons of questions! :)

I have some questions for you -

If someone breaks into your house and you feel they took your peace (piece) of mind, does that make them a neuro-burglar?

Explain how your culture has influenced your self-concept?

How did the phrase "free as a bird" come to be coined to mean that one is at liberty, without obligations?

What is something you would like to know about another culture? and why?

If He can't, He'll just be always hungry for knowledge which is good!

no but it would make him a dead-burglar :rifle:

Explain how your culture has influenced your self-concept?
I am multi-cultured so I was not raised in "homogeneous" environment like Korea. I grew up in NJ pretty much all my life and I have many friends from many nationalities. I suppose it enabled me to be open-minded and not scared to meet new people.

How did the phrase "free as a bird" come to be coined to mean that one is at liberty, without obligations?
I fell asleep in english class (assuming this is related to english course). But I'll do my best - The bird is flying around wherever it pleases him. During the dark age where people were being persecuted (even now)... while they're dying - they'd look up and catch a glimpse of a bird flying around... they'd wish they turn into a bird and just be free... flying around... hence - "Free as a bird"

What is something you would like to know about another culture? and why?
Learning more about their rituals/beliefs on various of issues because this gives me a very important ability - being able to think out-of-box on our common issues and also being open minded & patient.

whew! that was exhausting! <passed out> :cool2:

Well, I don't think one can be "free as a bird" without OBLIGATIONS. We are free as birds within sets of social, political, and legal parameters. This is what makes us civilized as opposed to being barbarians. That and having good Mommies!!

Nevertheless, great job, Jiro!

exactly - all of us can never be free as a bird but if you truly want to be free as a bird.... you can go live on some isolated island with nothing but a leaf on your private :cool2:

I see that the leaf is the limiting factor.
