Our Temperature in Cleveland has dropped to 10 degrees, snowed all day and half of the day today I had no water, Pipes seems to be frozen and It has been a horrible trying to get it defrost. Tomorrow we are expecting 19 degrees Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 80%. Snow accumulating 1 to 3 incches.

I am wondering if anyone here has the same problem with cold fronter.

Yeah...we are close to 17 degrees as I type this. We got a little bit of snow last night...I'd say more of a dusting than actualy snowfall. It doesn't look like its going to get any better with This Forecast

When we woke up this morning it was -10F. Now the forecast shows nice and mild upper 20's for the rest of the week!

No offense Steve, but I could never live in a place where the upper 20's is considered 'Nice and Mild' :)

Just had our cold snap. Rained too long, flooded many parts of our drought-striken city, bitter cold temperatures barely above 35 in nighttime and rarely peaking to 60 degrees during the days. Mind you, this is not our typical weather condition-- we do get it ONCE a blue moon, but for almost two weeks straight?!

Now that is all in past (ended last Monday)... this week-- 80 degrees and sunny all way to the end of Janurary! and today was 90 degrees.... :nana: (putting on her flipflops and sunglasses)

I just had some friends that were visiting me from San Diego during your 'cold snap'. They came here just as the rain started and just went back home the other day. Its funny because when I was visiting them last year, everything seemed so brown and dusty to me. They talked about how nice it was during their rainy season. When I was there (Think it was in October) they said they hadn't had any real rain since March or something like that. It was dry all summer.

well.. you guys are lucky cuz..
we are suffering with below zero ... between -7 to -25 for 6 days PLUS windchills around -45's ..and tomorrow should be up above zero.. finally.. :/

The weather right now in Long Island is 17 F. Some snow on the ground. I noticed that in the last few years, weather was little warmer during winter time. I am glad that I did not have to deal with more than 8 inches of snow! I wonder what the weather is like right now in Rochester...

When I was visiting in Canada, it was sooooo cold, -20 degrees C, which translates into about -5 degrees Fahrenheit. Whooo, it sure was cold. It's good to be back in warm and balmy Utah, where it was 55 degrees today.

Last thursday, we had 60F degree. This morning, we have 3F degree. It is very unpredictable weather in New England lately.

I can't wait for the spring time !!

At this moment (5:45am).. it was -7.. now 6:30am.. 1 degree..
and climbing that we are expecting SNOW!!! finally.. we didnt get much snow.. less 1/2 inches.. so wait and see if the weatherman is right that we are having snow today.. :giggle:

I am on the floor and laughing my butt off.. Our schools RARELY closes...
for that kind of weather.. :D

SOME schools will close -- if there are below -20 PLUS more than -50 windchills.. or if icy roads.. like rurals..
also, some schools will close -- if there are blizzard or nonstop snowing..

Also, parents have rights to keep the kids if below -20 degrees.. my kids still want go school if its remain open..

I noticed alot schools closed for little thing in all over USA.. :-x
1 inches of snow.. --- CLOSED
below 5 degree.. --- CLOSED

We're enjoying balmy 14 degree F weather... bundled up in long johns, used all available scarves and caps, put gloves on top of gloves, and toddled our way to work today...heh heh.

Yes I agree, My son's school doesn't barley closed either, My other sister who is in 9th in high school her school always closed even if it is snowing outside. But I know for sure if we were getting 1 degree temperature, My son's school will close It is not fair for children who are walking to school in that cold weather, or waiting for the bus like Pinkster stated, They could freeze. :Ohno:
