That's Mt. Rainier snow in July. It's in south central Washington state about 90 miles southeast of Seattle. :giggle: (it's not my picture)

i have seen Mt. Rainier in Aug when I flew into Portland, Oregon and it was covered in snow! I thought it was soooo breathtaking!!!!! I would love to go there and see it! :P

My wife and i are looking forward winter/spring than summer/fall cuz we hate HOT HOT HOT HOT during summer days!! GEEZ.... We both like cool or cold weather! One time we did visit Eureka, CA in 2004 and it was so marvelous weather during summer! Oh wow! Very lovely weather up there. Someday, we will move there but who knows... wahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! ROFLMAO!!! Anyway, in here where we live is terrible weather during the summer. We had to use A/C around the clock in 24/7!!!!!! yeah i know electric bill skyrocket!!!! Dang hot weather!!

I'm not ready for winter time either but sooner or later i have to buy new clothes since I lost so much weight blah... to be exact 41 pounds lol so I weight 139 or so before I was 175-178 pounds almost 180.. ;)

wow erica i didnt know u lost weights.. Congrats on the achivement! :) thats the fun part.. shopping.. i thought u love to go shopping.. lol.. :P

Wow starry, those are some nice photos! Ive never been to WY in the winter so I have no real feel of what it is like up there during that time. Ive been to Winter Park, CO in the early Spring - still some good skiiing up there at least until the first part of May. But the Parsenn Bowl stays snowcapped year round I am told.

MY dad gets the Backpacker magazine (an outdoor gloss), and everytime I read it and see the pictures, it makes me want to attempt a weeklong hike to a peak of a mountain and back. Someday maybe - but at 175 lbs, it ain't happenin'!

Most of here never experience what it is like what I experienced amazing senses of how I saw. Wish someone is with me that will change you. It is like you are in heaven or on another planet. It is not about mountain or anothers. It is REAL sense! If I was Indian on over 6 thousand feet with spirit snow windy, it should be like that. Not likely snow. Washington State is different from Wyoming depend on what condition of snow. No poem can describle the snow.

Yesterday outside was beautiful and cool at 80 F. Smell and feel was nice air fresh than A/C. Some wore jackets and long sleeves. I wore long sleeve.

My daughter played soccer at field.

See red flag. Windy still here. I love it.

I had no idea you had a duaghter - she looks very beautiful. Im guessing that soccer is her favorite sport and she plays goalie, correct?? ;)

I have no idea if mine will get into Soccer or not, but no sense in holding her back from the experience. I will likely have her join a league in Russellville since there are no pee-wee soccer clubs here.

When does soccer season typically run??

It starts this early Fall usually. I dont know much about soccer season. It is for children activity as well. Yes she plays as goalie cuz she wore white. Here have huge soccer clubs.

(Sorry for the off topic)

I have experienced hiking for 10 miles in total for a week worth, from the elevation of 6,500' to the wilderness country of 8,500' with a peak of at least 9,700 ft nearby. The water was very crisp, lots of rocks, beautiful stout trees, some snow on the ground, billions of stars at night time felt like you were in space. This was in Aug 1995, I think. It was in the national forest not too far from Lake Tahoe in California. I went with my best friend, my mom and her friend. My mom's friend was the guide. I got a bunch of pictures, also. :)

Yes stargazing milkway from higher elevation is awesome! Beyond my dream. I stood on 8,000 ft, 20 miles west of my hometown. Very intense than I saw in 500 ft ozark country.

It is 60 degrees here in MD..I have my windows open and no AC on and we are wearing sweats in the house cuz it is chilly. Even the toilets are a little icy cold!:giggle:

Fall is my favorite season. :)

According to my weatherbug thingy its 1:03 PM anf 79 F with Fair skies overhead. REALLY nice day to be outside. I wore a long sleeve shirt to church this morning and felt comfortable. COME ON FALL!!! :D

look like where i live is not in ozark mountain.. but why on the map of Arkansas it said we are in ozark mountain? this doesnt make sense? lol.. i gotta reasearch on this more! :D

Here's the rule of thumb FC - if your'e south of the I-40 your'e in the Ouachitas, if your'e North of the I-40 you're in the Ozarks - the I-40 also runs right along the AR River, so again if youre north of it - Ozarks, south of it, Ouachitas.

Mt. Magazine is actually in the Ozark Nat'l Forest, despite it being south of I-40.

Everywhere else, its Ouachita Nat'l Forest southward, including Petit Jean Mtn.
