Russia already got involved in Syrian government and I have no respect to Russia.

Without US help, Syria will be in Al Qaeda's hand, eventually, similar to Afghanistan in past.

What if they don't back off? What if they shoot at American ships? Are you willing to sacrifice American lives for Syria?

US will retaliate any attack.

Russia did support Libyan dictator and we got limited invovlement in Libya to oust the dictator without any serious confrontation from Russia.

Russia got involved in Georgia that we didn't agree with them.

Good luck to Russia if they want to attack us and it is not wise choice for them.

My question was, would you support an action by the US that could risk American lives? Are you willing to sacrifice American lives for Syria? You keep avoiding that question.

I can't answer yes or no, it is complicated.

All wars carry risks, also I don't support ground military in Syria.
 
It looks like US involvement in Syria will be very unlikely and it won't pass in the congress.

They don't want to follow same mistake as Iraq war.

Oh well, I don't care anymore but I'm very sad about poor Syrian children poisoned by chemical weapon. :(

I don't think that is a probable option. There will be some compromise here between the U.S. and Russia, perhaps involving missile defense. This is more a political than logistical issue and that is what is at stake for Russia. Regardless of the Syrian Civil War's outcome, Russia will still have a say in Syria's economy. The posturing, in my opinion, is to gain a political advantage, smart move on the part of Russia.

If they mean "air" as in unmanned missiles that's one thing.

If they mean "air" as in piloted planes that's another. Planes can get shot down, resulting in casualties and/or prisoners. Casualties and prisoners have to be retrieved.

What about send all felony prisoners to Syria? Our prison system will be empty and transfer DOC's funds to education or help other people. :lol:
