Warp Speed would kill Capain Kirk and Mr. Spock

An analogy... the penny:

A penny wouldn't kill you if someone threw one at you, but if someone was to drop one off the CN Tower (or the Empire State Building), it becomes lethal.

That's all radiation is... atoms travelling at a high speed passing through objects.

mythbustes busted this , also the ariacle fails to take into account that in star trek they have the deflector shield that allows any partials to be deflected around the ship. we are not at that point in our technology.

but the Penny thing cant happen they dropped pennies from 20,000 feet and they did not dent the ground

Heat shields are used for entry into atmophere so it is nothing to do with warp speed. :)

heat shilds are very delicate and a can be damaged esaliy they are only good for heat nothing else not even dust in space when not moving

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isnt' radiation alpha, beta, and gamma particles? That being said, a hydrogen atom that is hit by a mass a hella lot bigger than the little atom would be absorbed into the larger mass. It would have to be split or dekayed to generate radiation, and when it splits kabooom!! Also, at the speed of light time and space is warped so who's to say it wouldn't just pass through without damage.
