**warning** Don't Trust All Postal Office...

:(

I am total surprised that UPS do not have any insurance including automaic unless you ask for it.

Normally, UPS always have insurance including automatic and for Post Office, you have to ask for add insurance extra.

Wrapped with newspapers can't protect glasses but air cushion foil or foam air.

I guess she was in a hurry :dunno:, and I'm not positive sure where she went when she dropped the package off, but the UPS did delivered the package here.

damn that sucks, thats why I never trust any delievery people such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and many more cuz they dont give a fuck to carry boxes, just work and earn some money... so I always put alot bubble or shells (white soft) put into box to keep secure on any fragile things...

Yes, but it is optional (for under $100) to those shipper if they want to have insurance on the contents as some have tight budgets and can't afford to get new one if something breaks on the way.

Not sure exactly what you mean, Calvin, but all UPS shipments (boxes) automatically go out with $100.00 insurance coverage with no charge.

Angel,if you are talking about UPS and buying insurance from them for your shipment valued at $50.00, I am surprised that the clerk didn't tell you that you don't need to buy insurance because the item(shipment) is already automatically covered for the first $100.00. Now that I re-read the last several posts, I am surprised. We have shipped via UPS, oh, about 6 times a year and the item(s) usually are valued at $100.00 or less so we don't buy insurance. The other day we shipped something valued at $375.00 so we bought insurance for the extra $275.00. Since there have been several of you above talking about insuring for less than 100, I am beginning to wonder about my sanity, making me not so sure, etc, lol. Maybe someone else will say something that agrees what I just said and I'll be sane again. :giggle:

Well I was looking into UPS website for insurance information, but I came across this in E-bay since they are common in shipping UPS, so I think this link provided would settle for an answer.

Thanks for the link, Calvin. As soon as I clicked on UPS (Excess Value), I can see that insurance is free for the first 100 dollars of valuation. I'm sane! I'm sane after all! Lol....

Dang I should have gone to UPS to save me money from buying insurance. If it free then it worth it that is up to $100 value.

It takes a lot to damage something that was packaged appropriately. They aren't going to handle your packages like they're glass and you can't expect them to. You need to use sufficient packaging.

i do trust Post Office,Ups,Fedex for send anythings what really needs more reasons like busniess mails!

i always send mail to post office if BIG or small no matter how big would be! but post office always know weight would be send to any states and worlds too!

UPS and Fedex more different types i know glass more important to send as types they wont let post office get break it! but you can write on boxes says "FRAGILES" they the post office employers wont break the boxes need more easy pick they put on the floor that so simple!

when i help my mom's old jobs in MO i always shipping ups and fedex for parts and dont get fragiles for parts so my mom always knew about what types boxes they shipping to UPS to busniess! but im missed my mom's old jobs very much.

when i mail anythings and i write says fragiles or not they can send it if fragiles tell to post office employers please more careful dont break the glass!
