LMAO! blame it on the new owners when the company was sold from ol' Bob in 2006. They got real sick of the old logo and tried the new one..boom..we got chapter 11 bankruptcy rofl!

Lately my xmas season aint feeling soo good, but with the Arkansas warehouse closed, at least I get something steady :). For 7 years, Arkansas has been robbing me of my full time hours, but since they shut it down, Im feeling more optismic about my hours at work.
 
It has no effect on whether it affects my decision to shop there or not - as long as they sell cheap TP, I'm good!

AHEM that wharehouse was where several of my mates worked and they were finally able to make a living without having to work mad hours!

Now that is shut down - they have NO HOURS whatsoever! One of my mates was a supervisor there and was making around $12 per hour which is double the minimum wage around here.

The city of Russellville is trying to find a buisness that will come and occupy the warehouse building but so far no luck.
 
As far as logos go, Im starting to see that a lot of buisnesses are having retro 60s inspired logos now. They are simplifying after having been drowned out in the overly done 80s and 90s.

Bland!

Too many companies are now resorting to similar typography and symbols, etc. They are only going to confuse the consumers.
 
Looks so bland. I never liked any of the walmart logos.

Cute yes but I recall PETA throwing a hissy fit over that so Target stopped using the dog altogether.

They did? I wondered what happened to that dog. I don't think it's a problem having a dog as their mascot, I hate PETA anyway.

As of the mascot of Wal-mart, what happened to that smiley? Did he get fired for something? lol
 
PETA just likes to stick their nose where it doesnt belong!

As for the smiley it was reported in late 1999 that Mr. Smiley was being underpaid with the sharp rolling back of prices that he filed a formal resignation with the Bentonville offices and opted out of his contract with Walmart Stores, Inc. :lol:

Lol! I saw the smiley on TV ads until about early 2008, he disappeared.

Yeah... PETA gets pissed off with anything that involves animals. :roll:

Their current complaint are probably the pets that are being dressed up for Halloween. ;)
 
I wonder if the people who join PETA are anti-social? They seem to value animal lives more than the lives of fellow humans.
