I prefer paint. I can create more designs that way. ;)

My parents' home is mostly paint, but we do have a small border in the kitchen for accents.

The entrance foyer in the living room has textured wallpaper that you paint over and a design appears - very beautiful. Will last for about 10 years.

To me, it´s not much hassle to remove wallpapers. It remove very easy with vingera/water in warm water.

yeah it may be easy for you but it more hassle to PUT it on wall sometimes it dont work because of glue mixture....not only that you have to clean up the mess as IF the room is WHOLE wallpaper. I dont mind use little wallpaper like a border or a few small ones.

FYI ya know that sometimes roaches do get attracted to the wallpaper.

your right abt cockroaches attracted to the wallpaper cause of glue .. they like taste of wallpaper glue , it kinda sweet and keep them warm inside of wallpapers, etc...

EWWW no wallies or wallpapers for this house! I absouletly HATE roaches. ughhhh,,,,, :o

ii vote for paint. Wall paper takes forever to take off, before you know it i will be very old :giggle: . Paint are much easier and pfft to do. II can paint in my tuxedo without getting paint on it

Famiy friend had a wall paper in her living room and it was staaring to peel off. and i just kept it on picking it off it DRIVES ME

I prefers paint is alot of options on colors and designs better but wallpaper is nice for borders along with the wooden trim a little. Peel off old wallpaper is alot of work and very hard! It takes longer to get off if glue is too attached (or heavy). I like stencils is for finish touch on the paint walls. Dark color hurts my eyes cause me headache or nausea. Either soft or netural colors are okay. :)

We have paint, wallpapers, and borders in our house.

Sure, clean up the mess after remove wallpapers.

Sure, I have to put plastic everywhere to protect drop of paints to touch anywhere... I also put the plastic away after paint finish done.

Sure, it´s hassle to put the wallpapers on the wall, also paint, too. It hurts your arm when you paint the wall all the time.

I would say cons/pros between paint and wallpapers are both the same.

Excuse me, I laugh so hard when I read this because I never heard about this.

I grow up with families who use full wallpapers... it doesnt affect us.

Every 2-3 years? No...

We removed our first wallpapers for a first time after 11 years in 2000.

It would be different if you are smoker and smoke in the house.

i meant that i GET BORED with wallpapes easily... and wouldn't want them in the room for more 2-3 years.. and that would mean i would have to re-do/remove them every 2-3 years to make it more exciting! :greddy: SO FAWWWGGGEET IT!

I have had wallpaper maybe once or twice in my adult life. It's not difficult to remove wallpaper if you use/rent a steam gun or spray warm, soapy water on it and let it set for a bit.

What did you mean by that?

Everything's natural like stones, bricks, logs, or unpainted woods. Included fabrics count in as wallpapers. Yes, I do have that kind of wallpaper back in my old room at father's. It dont do any good to me and easily catch any stains...a major problem. Or something you could find in 'Monster Houses'.

I perfer paint or have artists over to paint some favorite pictures on walls. White color isnt my style...I had too much 'white rooms'. I'll go for navy blue walls and white on door and window frames.

Oh I see!

All what I do is change the pictures 4 times a year.... I restored and trick into antique look on the picture frames and collect old pictures, craftwork with napkin tech. etc... etc... etc... It doesnt boring to change something to hang on the wall. I enjoy to look at pictures to forget the wall.
